Den Haag is in no short supply of fun, funky stores, especially in Prins Hendrickstraat. However,…read moreat least in my opinion, this one takes the cake. Centered around fun t-shirts with great slogans, this haven of off beat and funky fashion statement tees uses only fair trade, organic, eco friendly fabrics at reasonable prices. With sizes ranging from men's super large to tiny baby, it allows everyone to express themselves through cleverly designed, witty text. With a small selection of gifts for that last minute birthday party, you really can find something for every one here. GO!

Blokker hasn't changed in decades. This place looks exactly the same as when I was a kid, and their…read moreselection clearly takes no note of contemporary styles. But that's okay, because you know what you're getting when you got to Blokker: Cheap housewares, small appliances, plastic lunchboxes and cheese domes, brightly colored tupperware and all kinds of junk you didn't know you needed (because you don't actually need it). I went to Blokker on a mission to find two things: Tupperware, or more specifically a Lock n Lock container. I found one, but it's very cheap quality and won't last long unfortunately. I'm already having trouble closing it again. And secondly I was looking for a folding table as an extension to the table on our garden patio. No luck there, they had no folding tables whatsoever :/ Oh well.

I made the mistake of not looking at their address and the next day spent an hour wandering Amsterdam till I remembered they were off a major city square and thankfully found them again. I can safely say that they truly are a unique shop as I think I looked at most of the souvenir shops in Amsterdam trying to find this one again. Great prices, adorable unique gifts I didn't see in any other stores, and a wonderfully kind and helpful staff! They are conventionally located off the famous Palace and Dam square and should be your first stop for souvenirs in Amsterdam!
