If anyone is considering using Tru 2 you Estate Sales, LLC, DON'T…read more The owner, Whitney Smith from Norman, Oklahoma is a liar and amoral thief who preys on her senior citizen clientele. I was one of them Whitney Smith held an estate sale at my home on December 16, 17, and 18, 2022. I was to receive my portion of the sale as per HER contract on January 9, 2023. That is when the stress and frustration becan as no checks came. There were many calls and texts between my daughter and Whitney trying to get her to send me my portion of the sale , to no avail. All my daughter got were lies about the money being sent. Finally, my son contacted Whitney through texts and calls with more lies to him. Finally Whitney sent me a check and recei[ts from the sale. The check did not clear her Bank of America account because of insufficient funds. After all the lying and procrastination, I was not surprised. AGAIN, my son started pressuring via calls and texts, urging Whitney to send me my money. We planned on tuirning this matter over to the D.A. and I was in the process of contacting channel 4, in your corner to see if they could help. Finally on March 11, 61 days after I should have had my money, lying Whitney Smith sent me US Postal checks. As I said, if yiou don't want to be stressed, angry and frustrated, Don't use this company, it is run by a lying, dishonest person. This company doesn't deserve ANY stars, not even one, but I can't send this review if I don't give her one

We were initially impressed with how her staff came in & set things up, but after the sale things…read morewent downhill. Whitney did not live up to the contract we signed with her, on many different points. 1. Contract called for a 3 day sale, the day before the sale, with no call or explanation, we found out that was changed to 2 days. We feel more would have sold if the 3 day sale had been honored, we were lied to. 2. contract stated we would receive daily itemized list of sold items, we never received any. We don't know what was sold, or for how much! 3. contract stated we would receive payment of our share within 10 business days. After a month & numerous calls to Whitney, in which we were lied to or given excuses, we were finally sent a personal check from the company. She blamed her accountant & said she was sending us a gift certificate for our troubles, we are still waiting on that! 4. Whitney said she knew several businesses that would make us a flat offer on the leftover items & haul them off. Well, the items disappeared, we were never offered any money,or explanation of who took them, could have been Whitney kept them for her personal gain? i please don't trust this company, they are not professional or reliable!!

I attended an estate sale hosted by Kerr and Kempf with my Guatemalan mother-in-law, and…read moreunfortunately our experience was very upsetting because of the behavior of one of the male workers. My mother-in-law had already paid for her items and simply asked if she could go retrieve a ring that another employee was holding for her in the back. The employee responded very rudely, searched her bag, and required her to leave her purse and belongings at the front before allowing her to go get the ring she had already purchased. She remained polite and cooperative the entire time. After she walked away, the employee then told the man at the front checking receipts that he needed to "keep a close eye on her" and check her bag again before she left because she was "causing trouble." I was with my mother-in-law the entire time, although I do not think he realized we were together because I was checking out separately nearby. She did absolutely nothing to justify being treated with suspicion or spoken about that way. I spoke up immediately and told him that he was wrong and should not treat people like that. After that, he became quiet and would not even look me in the eye. What made the situation especially upsetting was that he was polite and respectful toward the other white women there, but treated my Hispanic mother-in-law completely differently. The experience felt discriminatory, humiliating, and unnecessary, and it completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable estate sale experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how customers are treated in the future.
