I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience with Bloodhound Home Inspection Services. (I noticed the name says investigations, but my review is for the Home Inspection company called Bloodhound.) Scheduling the appt was very easy. She took the home's address and looked up the details on the house and gave me a quote right away. For the inspection itself: Bloodhound was on time (actually, they were there before me, so they were early). There were two inspectors who greeted me and gave me a well-organized binder where I could take notes and also refer to their materials later. He informed me of all the services Bloodhound includes as part of the inspection (like recording all the serial #s for the appliances and emailing me down the road should anything have a recall, etc.) He asked if there was anything that concerned me so he made sure to address it. He also patiently addressed any questions or concerns I had. When they were finished, he went over the entire report for me to see if I had any questions. He also let me know the timing for when to expect the report. Communication with this company is top-notch! Pricing was also very reasonable (under what I thought it would be). We were so impressed after using Bloodhound 11yrs ago for our first home in Boardman we went back to them to inspect our 2nd home. Feels great to have peace of mind knowing what you are getting into when buying a new home. We also used Bloodhound to inspect an office location before our business made that purchase. NOTE: A true inspection can not be done in an hour.. Bloodhound will take the time to inspect everything so plan on 2-3 hrs or more to have it done right. While Bobby was doing this inspection after 1 1/2 hours the seller asked if it would be much longer, she was told at least another hour, She stated that the last inspector was done in less than an hour. Bloodhound was very easy to schedule an appointment with using their online scheduling. I used James as my inspector. He mentioned it was his first inspection on his own and that he had been training with Bloodhound for the past year. He was very professional and kind. Their prices are the best for the amount of services and advice they offer. James was not able to get in to the attic at the time of the inspection because the doorway was blocked, but he offered to come back in a few days when the doorway was cleared, free of charge! He even brought an extra pair of clean shoes to wear inside the house! Overall, I was very impressed and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a home inspection. read more

James was our home inspector through Bloodhound, he listened to all our questions and answered them all. He even went the extra mile an assured us all was well. He pointed out details we missed and assured us that all of our concerns were met through the inspection. There was snow on the roof and he even came back a few days later to make sure the roof was in good shape. Bobbie Hamilton of Bloodhound did our inspection on a 1928 colonial in Salem. Totally professional, the report was comprehensive with photos, analysis and recommendations. We had to hire an electrician for a follow up on an old/original wiring system on the house. Unfortunately, the deal fell through but his report made us aware of a potentially unsafe situation. Awesome! Extremely thorough, had all of our paper work the exact same night; even had a recall on one of the appliances with in two days in an email! The inspector goes over EVERYTHING with you before leaving and if you have any questions at all he shows you exactly what he was talking about so you wont be confused at a later date!
