The entire store reeks of chemical overload -- like someone dumped expired cleaning products in a hot car. They're selling "dupes" of designer fragrances, but let me be clear: these are NOT close. Most of them smell like watered-down knockoffs mixed with rubbing alcohol. I sprayed one on a test strip and it instantly triggered a gag reflex. One scent literally smelled like burnt tires with a hint of soap. Another was just... moldy citrus? No thank you. Staff acted like they were selling luxury items and tried to push me into buying three bottles for a "deal." If by "deal" they mean paying full price for junk, then yeah, sure. Save your money, your nose, and your dignity. Go to a legit fragrance shop. This place is a scam masked in cheap plastic bottles.

Having been on the lookout for perfume for my husband's grandmother, after a good sniff around the shop and some chatting with the very kind & helpful staff, we found just the thing! As it was Christmas they even had mulled "wine" on offer for customers. The scents here are truly unique and the staff aren't at all pushy - they really seem to want to help you find a perfume to suit. Always a good thing.

I called the store in Islington on October 25th, I was lucky there was one left. The member of staff saved it for me, with my name on it for the next day...I collected it, boxed and presented beautifully with such kindness, the whole team were so kind and efficient....They were so happy for me. It's such a refreshing variation to the usual make-up-shopping-in-Department-Stores pain, with the usually robotic staff who give you death stares if God forbid you try something and don't buy. Space NK is very different - staff are relaxed, happy to help, but also happy if you don't buy anything. And there stock some stellar brands. AND they had my favourite Nars red lipstick in 'Heatwave' IN STOCK! Usually I have to go on a crazy wait-list....Magic!

I often walk by this place and it's never open. In fact, I think the hours on the door say…read moresomething like Sunday 9am - 3pm, and then "by appointment". But even on Sundays, when I'm a-strolling with my Columbia Market blooms, the shop is not always open. Call in advance? Wish to the sweetly smelling perfume gods? I don't know. But if the door is open - GO It's a tiny little spot, with many bottles set out. Atop perfumes there are scent sachets, candles and moth things (this is not a precise term: things to keep moths from eating your woolies, ya know?). Go with a totally clean arm to spritz yourself silly and see how different things smell on you. Or just get drawn in by the romantic descriptions (I especially love the "Artillery" range of scents) and take it from there. Nudge, nudge: I am a big fan of the black fig, and also a really lovely citrusy-mint scent for summer. Yelp note: Angela herself is awesome, so if you can grab her to tell you about the origin of the different combos, the "high" and the "low" notes, well...that just adds to the whole experience.

Such a sexy smell for one little candle. i want the fig one too. No, the rose. No, fig. No... both please. But they're £35, so they're not cheap (they've for a 40 hour burn time though). They're worth it though. That said, I'm not sure the shop is an enjoyable experience. The perfume is far too strong (not that there's anything they can do about that). But 'yknow when you walk through the perfume section of Selfridges and it's all a bit overpowering? Well it's like that, but ten times stronger and ten times smaller. Overpowering and confusing. But, the candles might just be worth the trip.
