The quality of their work is amazing, I've had $300 pants hemmed by them that end up with stitching looking better than they did new. Their turnaround time is also great, especially when considering the countless other orders that they have to complete. Their pricing is truly unbeatable, since I discovered this place I have been back numerous times because of how affordable it is. Dave delivered to my second floor sewing room an extremely heavy cabinet, set it up, and took away the boxes and trash. Not every dealer will do this! Not only that but they sent their wonderful tech, Aaron, to my house to check out minor issues with my new machine. They know that the machine is way too heavy for me to get down the stairs and into my car. Instead they sent their very competent tech to me. I've never had a dealer offer to do this. I am so thrilled to have this resource so close to me. Anything you need related to Bernina is in the store or can be ordered. Don't even get me started on the FABRICS! I garment sew and their assortment is amazing! I know if I need help with construction of a garment or a quilt some one here will be able to help. Check them out the next time you are in the area. It was a weekday afternoon. I ended up taking that pair of pants to The Perfect Fit (which I happily recommend, by the way). I did, though, make up my mind to go back to Golden Stitch, bringing a shirt to be taken in. At $25, it was a bit steep, but nothing that'll break the bank. Also had another pair of slacks to be hemmed. Now here's the problem. I was told they'd be done "next week," and I've been trying in vain -- for two weeks now -- to get back the clothes I thought belonged to me. On three separate occasions when I dropped by, the store was closed in the middle of the day. Calling ahead is fruitless; nobody answers the phone. I could yammer on and on about how nice the ladies are and so forth, but the operation struck me as pretty unprofessional. Raising the price of a hem from an already healthy $9 up to $10 doesn't help their case. Taking your clothes to Golden Stitch is, frankly, a risk. If you see a confused young man wandering around the square without pants on, it is probably me killing time until I try to pick them up again.
