Blora ranch is a good place to send your children my granddaughter went here and loves it she is still going there. There is many hands on activities as you can see including horseback riding, morning chores, games on horseback,etc. It is worth the experience you can volunteer here for free and sometimes kid's volunteers. It is a good place for kids to learn how to ride. I highly recommend this place to many parents in Texas looking for a good ranch to teach young kids the experience in 9 and up due to the horses being comfortable with their riders there are many trails and if your lucky that day maybe there is a little bare backing but if you want your kids to have a hands on experience this is the place many people ride they even include private lessons here. Make sure to say hi to jimmy the donkey you cannot stay the night there anymore due to the horses now being able to free roam for your children they have a fridge for lunches and water believe me after the first day my granddaughter said "I love it so much I love how it is hands on they taught us how to do a lot" they include caviar for teaching them how to prepare for wars it is so awesome here and it is in a beautiful location I love how you can see the horses and sometimes your kids get to feed the horses it is awesome I thank them for all they have done for her and the owner (Tiffany) is a welcome warm and sweet person so it is awesome just to see your children or grandchildren mount a horse you honestly have to see this place in person so please come if your in Texas come down I love the location it is amazing just to see all the horses out there you can see so many horses the horses in the photos are Maggie (the brown one) and rio (the tan one) trust me when I say you cannot miss this deal it is awesome thank you blora ranch for taking care of my granddaughter and teaching her to barrel race sincerely Tammy lemon. This was the most amazing time we've had so far this year. Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Area had it all we could rent kayaks, boats, and tubes. We fished of the banks and in the crappie house just a ton of fun for a family or even just the boys. We selected to take a tent, but they have Rv hookups and cottages you can rent that are very reasonable. A definite recommend to anyone, wherever you may be ..this lake has a ton of fish!!! read more

Such an incredible place! Everyone here at BLORA Ranch goes out of their way to ensure you have the best experience! My girls have been riding here for about six months now and have made amazing progress. Tiffany works with you when it comes to scheduling and supporting each and every rider. The team is great with meeting riders where they are at and building on their strengths each day. All of the money goes directly to the ranch for feed, tack and the various programs they provide for the community. The ranch is a non-profit organization that is sponsored by Hoofbeats for Heroes. Drove all the way out there, and the ranch was not open, even though it listed as being open. Disappointing.

Very friendly and knowledgeable On the phone and I feel very safe coming to visit with my family. They assured me, they are licensed and well insured unlike other trail rides in the area. horrible experience! what is stated in the description of the ad/flyer is not the case at all, information is completely unorganized and unprofessional, it states it starters at 7am,my husband and i showed up at that time along with many others, we waited around until about 9-9:30am with no one to actually give us a valid answer on when we will start or what we will be doing. the ad also stated that we would intake to a "real" ranch experience..ride for a few hours return to grab lunch and help around the farm, ride agin for another few hours and then finish with a real fire cooked dinner. HA that was not the case at all, FIRST; like i said we waited around in for 2 1/2 hours with no one to answer our questions on why the information was wrong, the staff also stated that we did not pay in full(which we did!!) so we had to go through the has sell of finding and printing our bank statement stating that we paid!! , SECOND; when we actually did get to ride the staff put us on to the wrong trail ride(the trail ride they put us on was for couples and first trailers which only lasted about an hour), this was making us separate from our group completely (for what reason?? i don't know!!) THIRD; when we returned, we were told that since we did actually get to ride that wrong ride we would sit out on the next ride so that the others would get a chance to catch up on riding times...it wasn't even our fault that we were put on the wrong trail ride! at this point we were pissed but we agreed, grabbed lunch and waited for our next group ride to start..about 2 hours later in the day. FOURTH: we finally get with our original group and head out on our second big ride of the day...about ten minutes into the ride my husband and i are cut off from the group and lead down another trail...to find out we were being taken back to the ranch!! when we get back we raised hell demanding an answer why we were cut early from the group and taken off the ride..??? the staff stated, because we already got to ride for about an hour on the first ride (the wrong trail ride the put us on, it wasn't fair for the other riders) so given this..my husband and i have only rode once that day for one hour only..on the wrong trail ride, while the others were taking out multiple times for about 2 hour ride per outting. so when i questioned and made a point the staff didn't really have anything to say but I'm sorry and when i asked for management she was "busy", never gotten back with me or has refunded our money. PPSSHHH crock of shit a huge waist of time and 190$, as an experienced rider myself, have been around horses my whole life, the horses lacked correct care and riding practice, a few horses had severe eye infections and rub burns on their stomachs, this really makes me upset. please do not waist your time on going here read more
