Fantastic staff, happy animals, well-kept facilities...what an incredible day we had. It feels like a dream. Easy day trip outing with the family or as a date- book your animal experiences online like we did at https://www.bluehillsranch.com . The staff was flexible to shift timing of the experiences so we didn't have to wait long in between- they were extremely accommodating and we never felt rushed either. The otter swim/playtime experience was originally what drew us, and it was even better than I'd imagined. Worth every penny! Then we got to feed and pet the capybaras, which were way friendlier than I thought they would be! The babies enjoyed some extra belly rubs too. Bottle feeding the kangaroo was so fun too- little Dundee was SO soft and loved all the pets, even gave us kisses! The giraffes were super friendly and greeted us every time we were nearby; feeding and getting quality time with them was an extra treat. The safari ride tour was also amazing- 5 of us fit comfortably and got to feed/see lots of animals that we wouldn't normally get to experience. We were surprised at how this place wasn't crowded at all in the middle of July when it is peak vacation season, so it really felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. They also have a beautiful main lodge area that is comfortable and welcoming with additional animals to enjoy.

My wife complained, workmen complained, the garbage truck driver complained... I'm certain the dog wasn't happy. They came out and treated with pre-emergent, and I'm honestly shocked at the difference. The burrs are gone. Not "better", gone. We can actually walk outside again, and I'm no longer bringing a house full of little landmines in on my shoes or stuck to my pants. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first, but not anymore. She was great in that she lent me table runners, tables, and made some nice centerpieces. She offered to make the wedding party breakfast the day of and she kept saying there was a present she had for us. For the year we had a great relationship and she was extremely professional. Then the day of the wedding I don't know what happened. I don't know what was going on since she decided to not talk to me about it. I got bits and pieces of it from my wedding party which I find very unprofessional since her contract was with me. I purposely told my wedding party not to stop for breakfast since I was told she would make us one. Breakfast turned out to be grapes and a loaf of bread so my aunt ended up going back into town to get everyone something which was the first clue Eve was not prepared. I didn't pay for the breakfast though so I can't complain about that one too much. But I DID pay for 85 plates and only 60 something people showed up yet somehow more than a few people didn't get to eat due to lack of food. I know there was uncooked chicken left over which was just left in the kitchen but I paid for fully cooked meals not frozen chicken, why it wasn't cooked so that the ones that didn't get to eat could have I don't know. I was given a full menu to put in the invitations but an appetizer on it wasn't made, only two of the three chickens were available, and half the alcoholic drinks weren't able to be made. Plus the tea (which was unsweetened despite me saying I wanted sweet) ran out and no one saw any lemonade or water. Things were not ready on time. We agreed that the appetizers and drinks would be ready when the ceremony was over yet my guests sat there a half an hour before one of my girls recruited people to help get them out. Then another 10-15 after that for the meal. We were told there would be a ten minute wait, which proved incorrect, as soon as we got back from the ceremony and yet not told that the drinks were able to be ordered so my party handed out their own water bottles for the guests. The potatoes and green beans were under cooked and a few people commented that the shrimp appetizer tasted like straight alcohol. While some of the chicken was so overcooked they couldn't eat it. But what really got me upset was that I paid for wait staff I didn't get. It was very embarrassing to learn that some of my guests had to step in to serve and then all the guests had to serve themselves the actual meal. I have heard gossip of what might have happened with the servers but nothing was said to ME about it. Apparently she booked a wedding the night before mine when she knew my wedding was at noon and she had to be out at the ranch (a good 45 minute drive from her house) at 7am. The wedding the night before had something to do with why my servers didn't show up and why nothing was prepared right. I understand that she will have other weddings but putting them so close to each other and not making sure the second wedding (which was contracted first) was ready to go was unprofessional. Then in the end she high tailed it out of the wedding as soon as she could, leaving things she wanted to keep which made me have to deliver them back to her. When she should be apologizing and offering some sort of recourse I had only silence from her. After a good two weeks I emailed her telling her why I was upset with her services and asked her a few specific questions. She replied with excuses and didn't answer any of my questions. I emailed back asking for the questions to be answered and she hasn't responded back to me at all.
