​ HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE AT…read moreDream Nails and Spa Palmer, AK I'm sharing this on behalf of my Aunt, who was physically harmed during what should have been a relaxing appointment at Dream Nails and Spa in Palmer. She went in for a simple gel manicure and came out with five fingers CUT OPEN by a careless nail tech. And get this, she only had regular nail polish on when she walked in. Not gel. Yet the tech used a nail drill on her bare natural nails, tearing into her cuticles and leaving them raw, painful, and in need of medical ointment to prevent infection. Let me be clear: this was not a minor nick. This was full-on negligence. The polish job was a total mess, with color flooded into her cuticles, and they didn't even use the color combo she requested and showed them. She walked in with a soft lavender and shimmer combo. She walked out with a dull, dusty purple and fingers that looked butchered. To make matters worse, the staff still charged her full price. No apology, no accountability, just a rush job and a "next!" attitude. Dream Nails and Spa should never have used a drill on someone with regular polish, and the fact that they didn't even notice,or didn't care is terrifying. My Aunt is in obvious pain and this should never have happened to anyone, especially an older lady who deserves a little extra patience and care. We will never return, and I'll be posting this review everywhere I can to warn others. Your hands and hard earned money deserve better than this.

I was handed off to an older guy with ridiculously long thumbnails (which should've been my first red flag). He was rough, rude, and handled my hands like he was mad at them. I had to ask multiple times for him to fix obvious mistakes, and every single time he acted annoyed, like doing his job was an inconvenience. At one point I genuinely felt bad for the woman going next, because no one deserves that experience. My hands are probably going to be sore tomorrow, and I'm honestly shocked he didn't leave marks with how aggressively he was digging his nails into my skin the entire time.

I was in town to attend a family wedding. Audrey was very nice throughout the process. Somewhere during the service things went wrong. Highlights around my face came out orange and all the beautiful light blonde I walked in with was covered by a dark and drab toner. Nothing could be done. It was 2 hours before the wedding .I realize it's only "hair "but it will be forever reflected in my family's wedding photos and quite honestly, I was devastated and embarrassed. For the next day, I was able to make an appointment with the salon manager, Rebecca. She knew exactly what needed to be done. I was sat down with a gentleman. He started my nails. He asked me what I wanted and gave me a pallet for polish. I asked if they could use the magnet to create a heart; they can't . I picked my color. But swapped to a woman who pulled my skin from the glue which tore my skin. These take forever to heal! She was over zealous with filing my thumb and took to much off on the left. So it does bother me it not being even. This place came highly recommended by a few people. Who come regularly. I will give them a shot to redeem themselves. I am not happy about the skin tear! It hurts! Well vibe, the shop pedicure chairs are at the ceiling. . I don't know what would classify as clean.
