I was introduced to Lieutenant Norals IV of BluTint Photography at a time when I was thinking about getting photos taken for professional and family use. After scheduling a consultation meeting, we arranged an outdoor shoot at two different locations to capture the natural environment that I really wanted to include. I'm generally not a fan of having pictures taken and am usually a bit uncomfortable at being the focus of attention for long periods of time. But Lieutenant was both professional and supportive through the shoot, taking time to direct my position and posture, explaining why something might feel awkward but would look good on camera, and accommodating my requests for certain angles to hide some imperfections. During the shoot we chatted casually, but it was clear that Lieutenant was focused on his work and was not getting distracted by our conversation. Afterwards, Lieutenant spent a few days editing the images and doing some retouching before sharing the photos with me, and they were far better than I ever expected! I looked like MYSELF, which was incredibly important to me, but his careful editing generated photos that smoothed some of my "rough edges" and made me shine. There were a couple of photos that were retouched that felt a bit too edited for my liking, and he responded right away and made some corrections. I also received unedited photos as part of the package, which was great. I used the photos for personal social media, presentations and other purposes. I've also seen some of his other photography online - architectural, street, etc. - and it's beautiful; the kind of work you might see in a gallery or on someone's living room wall. I was happy to support his small business and was really pleased with the outcome.
