You are also able to pre-order per many vendors through links on the Farmer's Market website and can even have runners come to your car with the products. Check the deadlines, as some are as early as the Monday before the Thursday market.

Drive slowly down the gravel driveway, and as you approach, you realize you are truly somewhere special. Exotic chickens roam free, a beautiful horse (Clydesdale?) grazes behind a barn. Chicken houses, signs pointing out different growing areas, all so lovely and peaceful. Go inside the barn, open the fridges, pick out what's fresh, and put your money in the pail. They also take checks if you don't have cash! Our favorites are the eggs (brown), kale, shitake mushrooms... It's truly an immersive experience while you are picking out your produce, etc. If you can't make it to the farm (which you really should someday), find their stand at the Madeira Farmer's Market.

The salsa man with his fresh salsas and his warm tortilla chips (he makes them there at the market!) are amazing and definitely worth the trip! However, they have lost a lot of great vendors from last year (hello, bread lady!) It's always a wonderful time to be outside and walking through the market but I wish they could retain their vendors from year-to-year!
