He also re-laid some stone pavers that had dipped. One wall, that was bowed out, he took apart in sections, rebuilt straight and stronger, all without affecting the heat-pump resting on the ground right above the wall. Not your usual job. It is like putting a puzzle together except it is a french style design house, (not a box style home flat and square) which made it more of a challange. You have to have an eye for it and the crew definitely had the insight. It pulled together very quickly and it was intriquing to watch them. It is just amazing! The marble work continued covering the chimney which is also beautiful. Inside they used more marble to make a fireplace mantle from the raised hearth to the ceiling. All of these projects are exquisite, unique and beautifully done. Next came the bluestone walkway up to the front door with two landings and a porch, stunning...Then they leveled the yard and seeded the lawn. Finally the plantings were put in and the yard popped! All spring and summer into the fall the yard is in bloom. It is full of colors from the bushes to the trees. Val has a touch that captures each home in it's unique way. His crew are amazing. They too have an amazing talent. They are a part of the artistry. They work very hard whether it be cold climbing ladders with marble pieces in their hands or in stiflingly hot weather planting trees! He refused to remedy that, instead offering to refund a little over 10% of the contract fee. I said no and refused to pay his balance. That was the only reason that he finished the job. I am now two years out with multiple promises that he will return to fix issues with the job. He never shows. He also asked my landscaper to provide the stone for the base beneath my green and then never paid him. Scam artist. Tom's response to this review that I was never a client is a blatant lie. I have every text ever received from him. He is a scam artist. He recently refunded me for part of the funds I paid him that he never paid to the landscaper who brought in stone for him - and offered to refund the entire amount if I deleted this review. I have that text too. Lying comes very easily to him.
