Strike 2: Now, we find out that the reason they haven't called to confirm the service and schedule a new cleaning is that they LOST OUR KEYS including a security key FOB. Strike 3: Jodie claims she has been looking for our key for 2 weeks, but noone took notes on our visit so noone knows where the keys or FOB are. Perhaps this is an excuse for ignoring our email and telling us she will call us back then not doing so? Don't waste your time and money on this company, they are liars who have no accountability.

At first things seemed good. Jodie responded to my first email right away and we chose UMA over some other cleaners in the area because of her availability. However, we soon found out that we must have caught Jodie on a good day, because every other time we tried to communicate with the home office it was like talking to a brick wall. My follow-up emails were never answered. My phone calls were not returned. And when you do get Jodie on the phone you can tell she is overwhelmed. She keeps no records of who was in your house and her scheduling is poor. The cleaners who came to our place showed up 2 hours BEFORE the 2 hour window Jodie instructed me to give them. When my girlfriend explained that we were not there to let them in, they were very rude to her. She could even hear one of them complaining about her in the background. I realize that it was 1pm on a Friday, but why should we feel bad that you want to skip out early and start your weekend? The cleaners who came did a great job on our apartment. That's why I gave UMA two stars. But everything else that comes with UMA is too much to make up for a good cleaning job.

For starters, the 2 of them spent the entire first hour in my kitchen, which is incredibly small. As a result, it felt like they rushed through the rest of my apartment. When they left I looked, and at a glance it looks like they did great work. However it soon became apparent that they didn't move the furniture when cleaning the floors, dusted around things, and really just kind of half-assed it. It was nice to have someone else do the cleaning, but I thought I was getting a my place professionally cleaned. I'm not thrilled to have paid for a job that I could have easily done myself.

We discussed by message what I'd need. He had a scheduler contact me and I gave some dates I could have this done. I didn't hear anything back until I got a text telling me one person was coming in 30 minutes on one of the days I said were fine. It was later in the afternoon, too. Wait? A deep clean with one person in the afternoon? Not going to work. After some back and forth with the scheduler, where I just ended up saying "Please have Rodney call me" a few times, the individual was cancelled. Rodney called me promptly. He was great, he saw where the confusion was, understood what I needed, sent me an easy payment link and we scheduled two people to come out for a deep clean promptly. Jalil and Ayla were amazing. They did a great job and were kind and friendly to my father as well. I then scheduled a weekly cleaning with Hughes, again it was Jalil and Ayla, they were once again fantastic, my house looks great and they were again kind to my dad, who I think deliberately is home so that he can visit with his friend Jalil, who, to his credit, just kept cleaning as he was listening to my dad's stories. Jalil is a heck of a nice person. I'm continuing to use Hughes for my regular cleaning. The measure of a business is how they respond when things don't go as planned. They measured up very well.
