Because of the placement, I had to be topless during the appointment, which already puts you in a vulnerable position and requires a high level of professionalism and respect. During the session, Dan tried to "make me feel better" by tickling my breasts. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of physical contact. I did not ask for it, and it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. At 18, I didn't know how to react in the moment. I felt uncomfortable and frozen, so I didn't speak up. On top of that, he added an entire additional section to the tattoo that I did not ask for and that was never clearly discussed or approved beforehand. A tattoo is permanent, and no artist should add elements without explicit consent. I haven't reached out about my concerns until now because I felt disgusted and didn't know how to process what happened. Looking back, I realize how important boundaries and consent are in situations where clients are exposed and vulnerable. I'm sharing this so others understand that professionalism and clear consent should always be the standard in this industry. I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

I had a 10 year old tattoo that was pretty shitty looking, but I'm really attached to the meaning of it so I didn't want to totally cover it up with something different. During my consult with Trevor, he came up with a solution in less than 5 minutes. I am so happy with his work. I've learned over the years that a good tattoo artist doesn't only need to know how to draw on skin. They also need to put the ink in just deep enough, but not too deep. This part is just as important, but seems to be a whole lot harder for most people. Just in case I'm not being clear, Trevor Marshall knows how to do both of these things. Really well.
