I've debated posting this for a long time, but I feel it's important to share my experience. On January 4, 2023, shortly after I had just turned 18, I went to Dan Dringenberg for a sternum and stomach tattoo. Because of the placement, I had to be topless during the appointment, which already puts you in a vulnerable position and requires a high level of professionalism and respect. During the session, Dan tried to "make me feel better" by tickling my breasts. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of physical contact. I did not ask for it, and it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional. At 18, I didn't know how to react in the moment. I felt uncomfortable and frozen, so I didn't speak up. On top of that, he added an entire additional section to the tattoo that I did not ask for and that was never clearly discussed or approved beforehand. A tattoo is permanent, and no artist should add elements without explicit consent. I haven't reached out about my concerns until now because I felt disgusted and didn't know how to process what happened. Looking back, I realize how important boundaries and consent are in situations where clients are exposed and vulnerable. I'm sharing this so others understand that professionalism and clear consent should always be the standard in this industry. I would not recommend this shop to anyone. read more

I am writing this review 2 1/2 years after getting a tattoo from New Inkland. Since getting this tattoo I have switched places to a different artist. I had booked an appointment which was an easy process after my 18th birthday. I wanted a mandala tattoo on my knee. I gave a reference photo and I knew they wouldn't copy it but i knew its a reference. When I showed up they were inviting and great people. At the time I had little knowledge besides videos I've seen, I saw the sketch and saw some flaws but after seeing videos I have seen online, I figured they would fix it when doing the actual tattoo.. they did not. The tattoo was drawn by hand but not drawn again after doing so. The center of mandala now looks like a starfish on my knee, completely uncenter and completely unsymmetrical. I feel as though this tattoo was completely rushed. My feeling is because they knew it was my first so they rushed it. Since getting this tattoo I have gotten a half leg sleeve and 17 hours of ink since. I know what good work looks like and my knee is everything short of good work. After this experience I realized how important it is find a good artist that takes pride in their work, will draw and shade their work before going on the skin. read more

Wife and I made a last minute decision to get Anniversary tattoos. Called ahead to see if they would be willing to tattoo our hands/fingers. They said come by and they'll make it happen. There were several artist available. Mike did my wife's tattoo and I cant remember my artist's name but they both were awesome. Did a walk in at New Inkland Tattoo Co. The people working in this place made myself and wife feel very welcomed I had my own picture of what I wanted and they said no problem. Then when the girl that was helping me asked if I wanted it now and all of a sudden I started to shake and said yes my artist was Lou and I started to talk to one of their customers and I just settled down. Went here to get my first tattoo ever, and I was definitely a little nervous. Martin was amazing though! I told him my ideas & he did it perfectly!! The shading and details are beautiful. The whole process was just so easy and less scary than I initially thought, because of him. I was done in about an hour or less; and the tattoo has been healing just fine. They say on their FB that they always offer walk-in consultations. We just went in the girl sitting at the counter and seemed like we were bothering her. She kept tapping her nails on the counter and making faces. She asked if I had a pic for reference, I showed her something similar to what I wanted. She right away shot it down, saying in 5 years it will look like shit. Offered no alternative ideas and basically dismissed us. My tattoo looked great when I was walking out of the shop and has blown out so horribly during healing that despite how meaningful it is to me, I'm already thinking of ways to cover it up. I went to my regular artist at a different shop for a new piece and she gasped in horror when she saw this new tattoo. The difference between the pictures is probably 6 or so months so don't think just because your tattoo looks fine walking out that it'll stay that way. read more

I went here looking to get two smaller tattoos on my forearms. The artist was awesome and we got my appointments set up, the whole process was a breeze. A day before my appointment it was cancelled and they asked to reschedule. It was a busy time and I had asked to wait a week for me to be able to properly look at a time to reschedule to. Once I got back to them they had not responded to my text for about 3 weeks, and when I finally got my new date, they scheduled the wrong date and I missed it. Not even a call to ask where I was missing my time??? After the whole debacle I asked for a refund on my deposit and they never got back to me and tried to reschedule again, lady I want my money back!!! Not a tattoo from an incompetent shop! This place has TERRIBLE customer service would never recommend to anyone. Never got my 100 bucks and I am tattooless :) read more

This is a nice spot! They are open late for those ppl looking for some spontaneous ink! They are down to earth with good quality work! My friend and I randomly decided to get some ink late on a Friday, they were open and had time for walk ins. After we got there a group of three showed up and at first I said to my friend "we had good timing" thinking the group of three would have to wait but they had three or four other guys working so there was very little wait time. These guys took the time and drew up exactly what we wanted and the work came out great. Wouldn't even give a star but have to to leave my HORRIBLE review. I wanted a couple/ few tattoos, I knew exactly what I wanted & I was a walk-in. When I walked in I was greeted by reception, I showed her the art work I had chosen and she was upbeat and commented "cool" "cool" and I was asked to have a seat until an artist became available. When it was my turn I continued to share my information (where and how I was excited for placement of my new tattoos) short and sweet a real asshole told me he wouldn't tattoo me because I wanted them "upside down" according to him. That he would make fun of me and how stupid they would look. What a complete lack of socialization skills this ol' man has. The the reception girl went on to tell me she would try to find another artist that would do upside down tattoo work for me. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. Birthday weekend. I asked my love to pay for my tattoo as part of my gift. He agreed. Since I knew we were going to NH, I looked up some tattoo places. My faith in my fellow Yelpers hasn't steered me wrong so far. New Inkland had the highest reviews out of every other spot that came up on Yelp. So I decided to come here. I was greeted by Cesár and he was going to take me as a walk in but his 1 o'clock showed up. Martin happened to walk in and was able to SLAY my tattoo!! The idea I had was totally generic, but Martin was able to REALLY capture what I wanted!! My mom (who HATES tattoos) called me with tears in her voice because she knew immediately after I posted the picture to Facebook and Instagram what the tattoo was for. She said the details are amazing. My cousin (the tattoo is for her parents who passed away) absolutely loves it!!
