Our guide, Jake did openly swear at one of the customers for hanging onto his kayak, I understand it can be chaotic when people fall into the water and other people are frantically trying to get them back on the raft but it is very unprofessional in my opinion to be openly cursing at people for no reason. It could also be their first time rafting, and to have someone curse at you your first experience is not a good look. I chose the red trail as it was the longest at 4.1 miles and most difficult, but still a moderate hike. It had some rolling hills and one sharp incline, but not too bad. Keep in mind not all of it is tree covered, so about 1.25 miles of the 4 was very sunny, so it was getting a little hot. However it's beautiful and when i was there on a Friday morning it was relatively quiet.

I tried out both the ropes-course and the Falconry Experience. First, the ropes-course was a fun activity where you climbed on different events. At the end, you got to do a zip line! While the ropes-course was fun it was nowhere near as amazing as the Falconry Experience. The Experience allowed you to see falcons in action and eventually you get to hold one! While I signed up for the kayaking, I was unfortunately unable to do so because of the rain. I found the cancellation somewhat ridiculous as it was only drizzling, but at least they called somewhat early. All the staff here was really nice and informative! Paul, Jack and Marc were especially great! Altogether, this is a great place to sign-up for a variety of fun activities.

No one called me. I had to, at my own expense, have someone come in and fix it. Rick had no clue what he was doing. Did not have softener set up correctly. The softener has it's own controller which he did not have turned on. There was also a white piece of plastic behind the controller unit inside a black circular piece which was taken out, looked like piece of the white plastic pipe used near the softener. 2. I then had Rick look at a shower that was not working. He took it apart, it was a water line, said he wasn't working on it, left the shower apart. That is not the way you do business. Extremely disappointed. But I now found a great plumber.

Dedicated service at a good value (as plumbers go...;-)…read more Needed the kitchen sink faucet set replaced after some years of service. Moen provided a FULL warranty replacement set (Moen rocks!) and Dominic the M&M guy installed this handily for a reasonable charge. Some months later there was an internal issue with this part as well as a number of house plumbing issues that I figured to address at the same time. Brandon and his other brother Brandon set about these other issues but noted that the sink needed a specific Moen replacement part. Meanwhile, they tackled the house pressure regulator, which had been a real challenge for a prior plumber for some reason. Brandon measured the outside pressure and matched this up so our showers were still able to provide the same oomph. This was the root problem to our "water heater issue" - which included relief valve output due to surges. Unfortunately, we still had to buy/install a new overflow bladder. At my request, they also checked all the valves under the sinks and toilets for operation and leaks to see if they needed their packing adjusted or to be replaced. Note: After years of non-use, the typical valve used has packing that can dry and pull back leading to a leak. You can simply tighten up the screw on the front to tighten the packing. If you do replace this valve - go to a better quality ball valve design choice. We also had a significant leak in one of the exterior hose valves - had these replaced with the newer long-valve design that places the shut-off point internal to the house rather than right at the handle. We had them switch out the other one to this, as this will reduce the chance of cracked pipes (and possibly a very soggy cellar) from freezing. Dominic returned and facilitated communications with Moen and eventually did a re-installation. Moen provided an assembly and eventually express shipped a WHOLE NEW faucet set to get this problem solved. M&M was kind enough to significantly discount the charges on the faucet troubleshooting and re-replacement.

There are however, handicap spaces marked for trucks or cars with trailers, which are located very close to the docking area, but none designated for just vehicles with handicapped placards.

He even constructed a little "flap": out of duct tape and cardboard to seal the space where the filter in inserted. All this for no extra charge and with great patience. I highly recommend this company. The people and service is unequaled in my opinion.

We camped at French Creek State Park for Easter weekend (3 nights, 4 days), and overall it was a…read morereally solid trip with one pretty noticeable downside. We stayed in Loop C, where our group has camped for the past few years. The sites themselves are decent some a little tighter than others, but generally well maintained. Each spot has a partial paved pad for the camper, a gravel area with a fire ring, and a picnic table. It's wooded, quiet, and has that classic PA campground feel. There's plenty to do here... hiking trails, a lake for canoeing, disc golf, a playground, and a large pool (closed during our stay but opens Memorial Day weekend). The campground was actually pretty full for Easter weekend, which says a lot about how popular it is. Park rangers are definitely present and take rules seriously (especially bikes without helmets or lights), which is great for safety. But... the bathhouse situation needs attention. For a loop with around 40 sites including tents, campers, yurts, and cabins-- there were only 2 showers and 2 restrooms. On top of that, cleanliness and upkeep just weren't where they should be for a state park. That was honestly the biggest letdown of the trip. We also had some rough weather, but that's camping... you roll with it. Overall, it's a beautiful park with a lot to offer, and we'll likely be back. Just hoping the bathhouse situation gets some upgrades, because that's the one thing holding it back from being a really great campground.
