I initially…read morecontacted them to address a leak on the side of my home that was leaking water onto the ceiling. After their inspection in January, they assured me they would resolve the issue. However, the technician's repair work was subpar; he cut a significant amount of siding, leaving the flashing highly visible, and relied heavily on caulking instead of replacing the damaged pieces. The overall appearance was far from professional. After I re-did the interior drywall and painted, it rained shortly after and resulted in water damage once again! When I got in touch with Garcia's Roofing, they promised another inspection, which took over a month to be scheduled. The inspector cut a hole inside my home to determine the source of the leak and generated a report. I then waited several more weeks for the repair team to arrive. When they finally completed their work, another rainstorm a week later revealed that water was still entering through the same hole that had been cut. I reached out again, only to be told that another inspector would need to assess the situation. This cycle continued for weeks, with repeated promises of appointments that were never fulfilled. Now, in June, I am still dealing with an open hole in my roof. Each time it rains, I have to place a bowl to collect the water. I sincerely hope this review dissuades others from using Garcia's Roofing, as my experience has been incredibly frustrating. I've attached photos showing the hole that has persisted for months and the shoddy repair job characterized by excessive caulking and poorly done flashing. After months of waiting, they finally appear to have resolved the exterior issues. However, I've now been informed that I need to wait an additional two weeks for them to address the large hole in my ceiling that they created. The warranty department, specifically Tania and Andres, has been very unhelpful; they rarely return my calls and often ignore my emails. At last, it's July and the hole in my ceiling has been repaired. I've lost several days of work trying to manage the situation with this company, navigating their inconsistent communication and missed appointments. I'm relieved to be finished with Garcia's Roofing and I strongly recommend that others look elsewhere for their roofing needs. I certainly will never use their services again.

I signed a contract with them in February…read more2021 to repair the back half of my roof, as well as remove the nails on the front half that held down the tarp. Brian stated he would call before the team came. A month goes by and I call to check in. He obviously forgot about us, and said they would be coming in a few days and he would call. The following day I came home and there were people all over my yard. I wanted to be home ! They broke my ashtray on my porch, left materials every where and left a trailer with all flat tires. Their trailer blocked my carport and we were expected bad rain that day. I called him to notify him to which he said they would come back tomorrow to get the trailer, and blew off my broken item and the trash they left. A week later our roof is leaking and I call them and they come to patch it. He texts me and says the damage was on the front half, which they did not work on. I responded with, it was not leaking before we placed a tarp and only leaked after they came. No response. Within the next 4 months I call, text and leave voice mails for them to fix the patches. I get on the roof to see they did not remove the nails from the front half either. I made a complaint with the BBB because they won't communicate, only to find my security cameras going off to see them there working. Apparently they came and fixed the patches but did not remove the nails. Just sealed around them. So I keep calling and calling and calling. A month goes by and they haven't responded to my complaint on the BBB. Friday afternoon 6/18/21 they just show up at my home at 7PM. None of the workers speak English so there was no communication. The following day, a lady calls and tells me her and her husband work for B.K. and that I haven't had a response from them for 4 months because they both had Corona. That isn't wasn't the owners fault the work wasn't done, but that it was her and her husbands fault for having Corona, that I guess lasted 4 months. She says they will come out that day to remove the nails. I asked her, then why did they show up yesterday? To which she said she was not informed they came. She then went to say when they remove the nails it may cause future damage resulting in replacing shingles. I said , ok just fix it. They show up, they work, they leave. She texts me and says replacing shingles was not needed and they just sealed the nail holes. Then this morning they respond to my BBB Complaint saying I'm trying to take advantage of them. Their story is not straight. Removing the nails was in the contract and fixing a leaking that wasn't present until after they worked should fall on them. If the owner would just communicate and not go 4 months without responding, this could have all be avoided. Why is it 2 other peoples fault when the owner doesn't communicate? Will not do business again. I have a feeling the work isn't done 100% but I'm sending payment and washing my hands with them. DO NOT USE THEM

pelican roofing doesn't have carpenters per Kit or Kid. they hit three gas lines in my attic,…read morecausing a severe gas leak that was near deadly in my home and could've blown up my entire neighborhood and that is witnessed by the gas company. They tore off pieces of my chimney and when they nailed it back, that is where the nails went through the chimney they don't carpenters and can't paint it so I'm not quite sure of what they had on my roof nailing stuff if they don't have carpenters working for them, but it was nothing but non-English speaking people and there was not an English speaking person on my the day and a half that they were here, but they managed to speak three sentences of cursing when something went wrong. I am assuming that they knew they a gas line at some point when things started hissing because the gas people when they detected the gas leak heard the hissing coming from the chimney. Pelican Roofing accepted responsibility to reconnect the should've connected from the hot water heater to the they did not reconnect the gas or light the hot water caused me to have to hire someone to come out and reconnect the gas and hot water heater and they pay for it at the time and still have not paid for it. They are refusing to pay for the other two gas leaks that they prior to were no gas leaks when I moved in this house and there were no gas according to the prior owner and she witnessed that the gas bill shot up $200 over just a few days. Pelican was hired by the prior owner prior to close of this home and not hired by me so they are in for a rude awakening by the time we get through with them. They made a promise that they would do a good job on this home and that did not include tearing the place up. They want to turn around and blame it on building code . Well, if that's the case, no one in points of view should ever use them ever again for fear of building code violations, and maybe no one in Lafayette Parish should ever use them again in fear of building code violations. If Pelican Roofing wants to fight a war, picked wrong person to fight with because I will fight them and so will the old owner of this home that hired them.
