As a choir director they patiently worked with me in the purchase of a fleet of choir robes and stoles. My wife is now a Lutheran pastor and they treated her with the same courtesy as they would any Roman Catholic priest as she picked her ordination alb, cinctures, and a stole or two. Stempers is THE place to go in town for just the religious items one needs. The brothers do have a sense of humor that we embrace. It is touching to know that they still fill all employees' cars with palm leaves as they depart work the Saturday evening before Palm Sunday. Then, if a church calls in a panic that night because they forgot to order them, the employee who lives closest can deliver the leaves in time for that all-important worship mass/service. That is just one example of their empathy and sensitivity to the Christian community they serve.
