Many rules and regulations, much management involvement in residents lives. Felt more like a reform colony that has to be supervised lest you break one of their many rules. Very noisy-windows look out on the walkway between the buildings where residents walk to and from their apartments. Please consider that you are not going to get your deposit back when you move out, and any portion of it will be held for over 2 months. Single man lived there for 4 years, no excessive wear and tear, no damage to anything, they held on to almost $500 of the $700 deposit and only returned any of it in more than 2 months, after being told of impending legal action.

The manager, Debbie, is personable and accommodating. She truly cares about the residents and responds to phone calls or voicemails quickly. Service requests are responded to within the same day (if you place the request early that day). Neighbors are generally considerate. My next door neighbor occasionally played loud music, so I could hear it through my bedroom wall. However, the walls were thick enough that I couldn't hear anything except for that loud music. I was lucky to rent an apartment that had a new stove and dishwasher. The washer and dryer were loud and old, but they worked fine. Closing the doors in front of the laundry machines blocked the noises thankfully. However, the next tenant of my apartment unit will be fortunate enough to have those laundry machines replaced in addition to new carpet and vinyl. Lucky them! The apartment itself is spacious and clean. My only issue is that the ventilation above the stove wasn't effective, but opening the window helped. None of the appliances broke. The A/C and heater have never failed me either. There were spiders, mainly in the kitchen and the balcony. I guess the only good thing was that I overcame some of my arachnophobia having to get rid of them, haha. Debbie was straightforward when it came to the inspection prior to the move out. She wants you to get your full security deposit refund, and sure enough, I got the full refund. I appreciate this, as in the past, I had been cheated by an apartment manager who took almost all of my security deposit for "maintenance reasons". Overall, I had an amazing experience living in Shasta Creek. I highly recommend it!

Dawn who I guess the property manager said, "if you are trying to get a puppy I don't want you here." I wasn't trying to get a puppy or breed a puppy. My dog is an ESA and he is sprayed and neutered. She told me I need to have documentations and I nicely said to him, I do have documentation that he is neutered and she was still rude. Don't waste your time here. What more if you rent in this location? I bet it's worse! Please to the company make sure your employees are well trained on customer service cause they make everyone calls unwelcomed.

My husband and I just signed a six month lease with this apartment complex. We are accustomed to…read moreliving in houses, but at this time we need something efficient and affordable. Most people would not chose to live in Anderson....it's basically a small highway exit town, but I work here and I like the small town feel compared to Redding to the North. My interactions with the office manager let me know she is not one to be crossed, but at the same time she is compassionate about these townhouses and wants to keep the neighborhood nice and safe. She lives here too. They have professionally cleaned the carpets, which are in good repair, and purchased us a new refrigerator, so I'm impressed so far. I like the internal washer/dryer hookups and we plan to purchase a washer/dryer soon. The stove is gas, which is great. Central air and heat. The place is a decent size for a small family that works 5 days a week and just needs a comfortable place to cook and rest. I will write another review once we have spent more time here. So far, I'm happy with out decision to live at Gateway.
