I just began using Blue Ribbon this year. I have used other pool supply places for the last 15 years, but no of them hold a candle to Blue Ribbon. Dan and Michelle are so knowledgeable and helpful. Our pool was a trainwreck this year due to ripped winter cover from the super heavy snow we experienced this past winter. Not only did Dan dig throw his warehouse to find a part for my filter, but the advice both he Michelle gave helped me clean up the green swamp and turn the pool into crystal clear balanced water. First pool I bought from them within 4 years was rusted out. I fought with them for reimbursement. I had to pay five thousand for a new pool. And now it's two years old and I see the rust coming back, they sell nothing but garbage. read more

If I can give this company Zero stars I would. I have been beyond patient with a Guy name Nelson this company recommended to come hook up the hoses for my pool. On May 9th I reached out to this company to inquire about having someone come out to hook up and reconnect my pool hoses. A gentleman recommended for me to reach out to a guy Name Nelson. That same day I reached out to Nelson and discussed what needed to be done and also inquired about him cleaning my pool which was left uncovered during the winter. Nelson at the time seemed like he was very knowledgeable with what I wanted done. He agreed to come out that Sunday on 5/15 to hook up the connection and begin treating my pool. Sunday 5/15 comes around he shows up and hooks up the pool WITHOUT hooking up my chlorinator (he stated he would be back to hook that up because I wouldn't be using until the pool was cleaned. I was fine with that) and begins cleaning & treating my pool and also adding flock. He then tells me to turn the pump off after about 45 mins to 1 hr so everything can sink to the bottom of the pool and within a day or 2 he will come back to vacuum and finish removing the leaves out the pool. I gave him a total of $350!!! I followed his instructions and turned the pump off after the time he recommended. On Monday 5/16 he reaches out asking if everything had sunk to the bottom. I told him no and he stated I needed to wait for everything to settle. From that Monday 5/16 until that Friday(5/20) I have not heard from him. I decided to reach back out to him on Friday 5/20 to tell him everything had settled. He then replies that he will stop by the same day or the next day(Saturday 5/21). He never showed! Nor did he reach out to tell me he was not coming. That Sunday (5/22), I decided to take things into my own hands and just begin the process of cleaning my pool myself. As soon as I turned the pump on, I noticed the return line was dripping water. I texted him immediately to inform him (9:36am). No response. I started retreating my pool because at this point the Algae was beginning to bloom. Around 2:50pm with the pump still running I just so happen to look out my window and noticed the water level had dropped below the skimmer. Immediately I go out to the pool area and see that the pump hose had disconnected from the pump and water was all over my backyard! I text him again but this time with urgey telling him I just needed him to come back and fix the 2 hoses that were connected to the pump because both were not affixed correctly. One was dripping water and the other completely disconnected spilling water all over the backyard. At this point I was done with him, I didn't even want him to finish cleaning my pool. All I wanted him to do is come fix the connection with the hoses and pump. He then immediately responded and apologized and informed me that his truck over heated and it was in the shop getting fixed. He also informed me he would stop by tomorrow (5/23)to fix the hoses. The next day he did stop by while I was at work to "fix" the connection and begin vacuuming up the debris in the pool also removing more leaves from the pool. On 5/31 while I was running the pump, the pump hose disconnected once again!! Spilling water all over my backyard. I then reached out to Nelson telling him what had happened once again. He then informed me that the hose fitting may need to be replaced. I went out back and noticed that he had put black duct tape on the fitting and that the tape was slipping off of the fitting smh! He stated once again that he would stop by the following day (6/1) to fix the issue. The following day comes..NO SHOW. At this point I have washed my hands with him and this company. I had to hire someone else to fix the crappy connection Nelson had done. Words can not express how pissed off I am with this service. I will NEVER recommend this company to do anything related to pools. GO ELSEWHERE! $350 down the drain plus another $150 to hire someone else to fix the issue! read more

Never had any issues with Blue Ribbon Pools and I will refer them to everyone. I read some of the negatives here, especially about Nelson. He is the one that may get negative refers and it's unfair to review BRPools for the actions of a contractor. He is not part of BRPools. Just a contractor read more

I was ready to order chemicals off-line for almost $80 but decided to visit the store because it was recommended by a friend. Michelle took her time with me wrote down all the instructions and exactly how to use the products. Saved $50. Very good experience and very pleased. read more

I stopped in yesterday for some pool advice for my new Salt water pool built by another company. The staff at Blue ribbon spent at least a half hour teaching me about the workings of a salt generator. They did not try to sell me anything and we're just super friendly nice people. About 15 years ago I had a chlorine pool and bought my chemicals from Blue ribbon and had the same experience. I have no idea how anyone has a bad experience here. read more

I have no stars for this business because my experience started horrible and I made sure it ended before it would get worse! I made an initial phone call to get all the information on where to start in the process of purchasing a pool. The very rude woman who answered the phone thought I was looking for something else. She was standoffish and just never apologized. The whole conversation was this poor excuse for a person accusing me, making assumptions about someone who she has never spoken to before - put it this way, it was as if I was begging for information AND she was doing me the favor of telling me how to prove it to her that I could buy a pool from her lousy business...don't worry, I definitely will not. I will though spread the word that your business, especially customer service suck!!! read more

Had my water tested. Needless to say I went to another place for a second opinion and they told me something totally different. Wanted me to drain the pool about 2 feet and I was in chlorine block. But I was not in chlorine block. My pH was perfect. The other company tested for a chlorine block twice and they said no way. Ugggg read more

Where do I begin with this place ? From the owners to the counter workers this place oozes incompetence. From the most minor pool need to major problems , you will most definitely be best served driving the extra 2 miles down the highway to Woodbridge Pools. I could hit this place with a rock from my house yet I drive to Woodbridge.That should tell you something. The day I went there with a water issue and was given a small fortune's worth of chemicals and was told to "drain 1/2 of the water from my pool- fill it back up-add the chemicals-then drain THE OTHER 1/2", I knew I was in the presence of the anti - Einstein. Needless to say -that was enough for me. Not customer friendly or pool knowledgeable by any stretch of the imagination . How they've remained in business all these years is a mystery to me. But this is Linden where the town motto is "Welcome to the Stone Age - Leave Your New Ideas at the Door". read more
