We let them know our sister suddenly passed away and to fulfill her wishes we requested to have an open casket and the representative from Reis said they needed to see the body first. She proceeded to tell me "do you understand what they do during an autopsy? I can give you the details". I was horrified and so shocked and abruptly said "NO" and she proceeded to tell me about all of the incisions my sister would have on her body. When I asked to meet with somebody that afternoon, she told me there were no appointments available. Not once did she say sorry for your loss or anything consoling. She was so crass and truly heartless. Being from out of town we needed to find a funeral home right away and stopped by Marshall-Spoo Sunset Funeral Chapel who welcomed us with open arms (without an appointment) and showed the compassion we so needed.

But Mickey stepped in and took care of everything. She was kind and patient and spent a lot of time with me-walking me through every step of the process. She had great follow up and warmth.
