We did new window treatments in the kitchen, dining room and the living room. I received added value from Anne's suggestions for accessories to round out the new colors, shapes and the glamour! That was my first round with Interiors by Thalia. Round two was my boat. A 1974 Gulfstar Motoryacht. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and the main salon. We did new carpet, we reupholstered a favorite sofa and chair. We did wonderful window treatments and a 'shark-tooth' shower curtain. We called our boat Magnolia and I thought magnolia tree colors would be perfect. Anne suggested we add PURPLE to the palette and voila! we were in heaven. Round three, The master bedroom. Amazing vibrant green walls, a rose embroidered duvet cover and shams with bees (!), and sheer gold tissue silk valances with birds and beads that tinkled in the breeze - I was IN THE GARDEN all the time! Round four, the guest room and our work out rooms. New awesome colors of gold and green. Fabulous REVERSIBLE duvet cover with matching window treatment featuring full length panels and a beautiful pinched pleat valance. All fabulous wine leaf green against a sunset gold wall, I thought was in Italy!!!! We moved so it was time for Round five? Anne altered my window treatments to fit the new house. She recommended a closet company to expand the tiny closets in this older house. That was a BIG win. I obviously loved the fabrics and details. I didn't think I could afford design service like this but Anne kept working with me and I never felt I settled for something less than I wanted because it was less expensive! Most of them had the look of a 1985 beach scene full of cheap rental furniture. A few had a more up to date look and even fewer had the formal look with quality and services that we were looking for. When we walked into Bontemps Interiors it was obvious right away that their look was right. Then within minutes, we had discovered that the prices we saw were better than what we had seen elsewhere and in some cases for the exact name brand, color and style. We were offered expert help and were explained how their design services worked. After all that we knew we had found the right place. Angela and Maggie listened to what we wanted and were almost immediately able to provide us with photos, fabric samples and actual items from the showroom floor. It didn't take long and without having to drive all over creation getting in and out of the car, going in and out of store after store, Angela showed up herself with the first truck full of furnishings. She had her people start filling the condo while she directed placement and it all started coming together. Some items she got for us, others she helped us find. We still are working with her on an assortment of wall hangings and other decor items. We could not have had a better experience and could not be happier with the way our new place is turning out! In the past we've agonized over finding a new contractor or handyman who not only did good work but didn't hit us with questionable or surprise charges, but from the time we first found Eric's business profile on Facebook with examples of his gorgeous tile work and had him redo our bathroom floor, we haven't needed to find anyone else. He has redone the tile in both our bathrooms and our shower (looks absolutely amazing and we are SO pleased with it!), installed toilets, bathroom vanities, painted our hallway and bedrooms, and helped us switch out a ceiling fan with a ceiling-flush fixture with multiple lighting settings, and installed a new mailbox (w/post). We gave him a key to go into the house while we were out of town to install a cover plate for an empty outlet box; he fit it in on short notice so the listing photos for our house would look good. Not only has he done great work on everything, but he's a clear and kind communicator. In the past I've had contractors be very short with me and make me feel foolish for asking detailed questions about aspects of the work we're having done (not great for my anxiety), but Eric has always been extremely gracious and patient. He broke down the process of how the tiling job would go when I asked, he's shown me the most efficient way to patch nail holes and use tools properly, and during the first job we hired him for (as I was just getting comfortable with power tools and DIY projects) he took the time to show me how to properly (and safely) replace the blade on my miter saw! To boot, he's good with our large dogs which is a big deal for us having had many fosters and adopted a few rescues of our own. We can't recommend Eric and his work highly enough. Quality, fair prices, good communication, and trustworthy! Once you hire him for a job, you'll never need to look elsewhere for handyman work and tiling.
