Today I discovered they even stock that super cool label Wild Fox here. Lush. One day when I have heaps of money I'm gonna buy heaps of that and wear it to Coachella. I found the staff friendly and they put a clothing item I was wanting to try on in the changing room for me while I continued to browse. I did spot an amazing cat sweater for sale too (brand was Mr Gugu and Miss Go). Basically if you are after some awesome clothing , chances are you'll find something at Laundromat.

They stock labels like Federation and Wildfox that I haven't seen in many other stores around the city, so you know you're almost guaranteed to be the only person wearing anything you buy in here. It's by no means a cheap store but all of the clothes are really well made and they're really different to items you'd find in chain stores. The store itself has a whole warehouse vibe to it and is really spacious with exposed brick walls and concrete floors. I love the fact that it's got a kids section, they've got some really cool printed tees and dresses that I kind of want for myself! Really must try to keep myself out of this place.

I was in Birkenhead- and from past experiences buying gifts I knew I had a limited option based on my age bracket this time. As I walked past Cheapskates I kind of had to do a double take, it didn't take me long after that to sprint in and check out what was at the front entrance. It took me less than 10 minutes to decide on two beautiful tops and I was happy that I had resolved my present issue. The outlet store, has some really cool clothing for sale, and shoes and accessories including boards to skate, backpacks for school, work or the gym too. Very helpful young guy who knew his style working the counter, was chatty and a good laugh. If you have teens in the family, they will be well impressed with this cool store.

But apparently it's now here to stay and I certainly am not complaining. When I stumbled upon it last week the $20 rack right in front of the door was fully stocked with awesome things! I snagged myself two tops from it and rushed into the back room to try them on. The dressing room was pretty much that... a back room with a little stand up mirror propped against a chair. But hey it did the job - and more importantly the clothes looked great. I then spent a good 20 minutes deciding which pair of shoes I was going to buy. They were only $40 each so in hindsight I regret not getting them both. The store also had a ton of dresses at only $50 each, summer shorts, menswear and hats. There was also the odd skateboard lying around and plenty of shoes! I was so happy to stumble upon this place. From outside it doesn't look like much but inside it's a treasure trove.

Mink is such a random store. First impressions don't really bode well for them unfortunately…read more There's a lot going on to say the least. But when you delve a little further into the store you'll notice that there's actually a lot of good stuff going on in there too. They have loads of awesome boots and this store would be great to hit before winter starts so you have your boots already for the colder months. They also tend to have a lot of good sales. Maybe because their image isn't so great. But this means it's great for me. I can't go past a good bargain and at Mink if you dig far enough you'll probably find something awesome that no one else has. You should go check it out today, but go with the mind frame of 'don't judge a store by its cover'.

Now I don't think I would find anything for myself in here but for my mom there were quite a few options. Glenfield is kind of filled with these little boutiquey stores and I seem to stumble across something awesome in every one. Here I found three dresses I wanted to try on. It was really interesting to find they only stocked one of each dress in only one size. This is great because you know you're highly unlikely to find someone else in your outfit but it can be a bit of a pain if you find something gorgeous and it doesn't fit. This happened to me. I tried to justify it to myself with some "ah it's not that short" and "I'll wear granny undies and won't bend over" but the reality was I looked like a bit of a sluzz. So I put that one back on the rack. One of the dresses did, however, fit like a glove. It was really funky and totally different and I loved it. For only $38 I had to have it. I've also got to say the dressing rooms were super - nice and big - and the mirror outside was huge and extremely flattering. I'm not sure if other people are like me and believe there are fat mirrors and skinny mirrors...but this was a seriously great mirror. Guaranteed to make me buy that dress! So stoked I stumbled across Amy's, I'll be back again soon.

Of all the KW stores, The Department Store is definitely my favourite. I have no time for clothing store snobbery but the girls in here are lovely. They make great suggestions on what to wear with each piece and give their honest opinion on what looks best. Of course, there is also the added bonus that's it's inside a "department store" so if you don't find what you are after at Karen Walker, there are plenty of other options!

I didn't end up buying anything and I don't really know why. In hindsight I really should have grabbed that white slip for $7.95 and there was a T shirt at the front I know I would have worn a lot.
