Over several visits, one specific employee has repeatedly damaged my eye wear. My frames have suffered stripped screws, broken nose pad wires due to over-bending, and most recently, melted/pitted temple tips caused by improper use of the heating beads. Despite my attempts to report these issues, nothing changed. When I finally had it and expressed my frustration, the staff was dismissive. I was told that "good customers get better service" and was told to take my business elsewhere. Absolutely I will. The employee in question has 40 years of tenure. I grew a backbone today and won't tolerate this any more. I highly recommend driving to Idaho Falls or Blackfoot instead. The local convenience isn't worth the repeated damage to your glasses. I've had good experiences at Parkway Eyecare in Idaho Falls. Previously the two offices worked together but I was recently told Shelley Eyecare is no longer affiliated with Parkway Eyecare.

However, when I tried to explain to the hygienist past billing problems I've encountered (Nov 2024 being the latest) after my last two visits, the hygienist became upset and refused to provide the cleaning. She sent Dr. Marlow in to deliver that news. I explained my concern to him as I did to the hygienist. He said, "That's not how the message was conveyed." Consequently, rather than providing the service promised, I left w/out getting a cleaning. Of note: I informed the office staff about my billing concerns prior to agreeing to an appointment. I tried to communicate clearly my expectations regarding billing so that neither PVD nor I would later have an issue w/ the billing. If booking a patient and then refusing to provide care is the standard this troubled practice has adopted, those looking for a professional practice should choose a different one.

I have little faith in any healthcare services in SE Idaho but I live here so I try to seek out the best. I found it with Dr. Hatch. Dr. Hatch and staff are competent, friendly, timely, accommodating, etc. etc. It's always a pleasure going to the dentist (yep, that's right, going to the dentist is a pleasure). I wish I could say my visits are physically painless, but when someone figures that out, I hope they let me know. Dr. Hatch could have recommended more expensive processes and procedures for my dental needs, but he has always recommended the best options considering my dental situation, my preferences, and my budget (and not his pocketbook). My hygenist in Dr. Hatch's office is Rachel (she's clearly more than a hygenist but I don't know what to call her) and she is excellent but from what I've seen, I don't think you could go wrong with any hygenist or staff member in that office. All in all, a great dental experience. I can't recommend Dr. Hatch and his team highly enough. BTW - he uses CEREC crowns. I have several crowns and this CEREC thing is far better than I ever imagined. In one visit, you get fitted for the crown, it gets made there immediately, and he puts it in - all relatively easy - and from what I can tell, about the same price as a multi-visit crown situation. I was skeptical at first but now I'm a complete believer in this process. The best part is that Dr. Hatch is a CEREC instructor teaching other dentists how to use this thing. Dr. Hatch is an expert. Three crowns with him thus far and although I hope I don't need anymore, I found the CEREC process to be great and Dr. Hatch to be perfectly suited for using it well.

He administered novacaine with very little pain which included "roof shots". I am amazed since I had dreaded the injections almost more than anything else. The extractions took very little time. Throughout the procedure, the staff offered support and advice on the healing of my gums and follow up care. They also shared that I would need adjustments to my upper denture and not to hesitate coming in for that. I've gone in once and was pleasantly surprised and grateful for the adjustments made to the upper denture by another dentist in the office. Wow! I would definitely recommend Dr. Gagnon and his team for your dental needs.

I'm from out of town/state and I had a crown split and come off. It was a Friday afternoon and I called the Simpson Dental Offices and told them of my incident. They were very professional, accommodating and friendly over the phone. Double that in person. All staff, including Dr. Simpson were simply the best.
