The team there is trained to understand your skin goals, and your current routine. Before recommending anything they'll ask if I'm interested in a new product and before buying they always encourage I take a sample home first before buying. I highly recommend this place, and would suggest getting the membership due to its steep discounts on services. You can even build up a few months to upgrade to another service. The Altar Spa is located in a beautiful facility in the basement of a historic bank building. First of all kudos to Ashley who scheduled everything on short notice. Our facial's were incredible; Kass and Nicole both provided treatment that was just right for our skin types, plus they were so kind. Candace our nail technician and worked wonders on our feet and nails. Plus she appreciated our jokes and banter. I was immediately greeted and shown into the dressing area. There are electronic lockers, bathroom, shower, and vanity areas with all hygiene products provided. Inside each assigned locket is a bathrobe, towel, and plastic slippers. The relaxation room is small, however there's only 5 treatment rooms so it doesn't need to be massive. I completed the waiver and began hydrating. I met my masseuse, Nicey (pronounced Nissey) and she was absolutely incredible! Her background is in medical massage, and I was blown away by her assessment of my body when she finished. I also opted for hot stones and the CBD oils during this massage. Nicey did WORK on my body and muscles, but a good kind of work, much much needed. She was so kind. While I was changing I debated on asking about her availability. I inquired when checking out and was able to book the next day! I also chose the CBD oils again. Pretty sure I snored during this massage. It was SO relaxing. This will be my first spot next trip to Greenville! Much like the hotel, the marble work inside the treatment rooms is incredible. I left my phone in my locker so I don't have photos. FYI The spa does automatically charge at least 18% gratuity to the card on file. *note for previous review: the waiver addresses they do not provide alcohol (it can disrupt the therapeutic value); and the hotel does not have a pool for guests or non-guests.

When I wanted to choose product from Rhode an employee was standing and didn't noticed me, talking to the customer and assisting quite long, I wanted to grab product quickly. I actually bought lip tint and because it was in wrong location I bought wrong shade. I asked and same employee opened the drawer, but I guess they hide it? It wasn't restocked and often I don't see products being restocked when the drawer is full! I told associate that I want to exchange and they were nice and helped me without long wait in line, but it could be easily avoided. Also, bought my concealer when I opened it looks like it was opened and dirty ew, but sealed. Some testers also were dirty.
