We moved in May of 2021. We had all of our items stored at Bluemound Express for about 5 weeks. Moved to our new place end of June 2021. The truck loaded with our items was outside overnight, the roof leaked and some of our stuff was wet. Not ruined but wet Over the next year and a half we began to notice things missing, especially items we had stored in our basement. Some of the items were irreplaceable. Not valuable. It took longer than I expected and cost more than I expected, but some of my furniture was oversized and they too ka long time to move up without wrecking the walls. Zach and Anthony were excellent. Lost a lamp shade, Face of file cabinets were scratched. Screwed a drawer shut in an attempt to fix a piece that came loose and didn't say anything. I used Bluemound Express to move last Summer. Chad was very helpful while booking and waived my deposit since I was booking through them based upon a referral. My boyfriend and I were moving in together from two separate places. They were able to load up my apartment and then his so they could deliver all items to our new place in one stop. All three stops in the move were on the East Side of Milwaukee and each place was a walk up. They were able to move all items using the stairwells alone without any issues. All large furniture was wrapped with padding and plastic wrap to avoid scratches. Not a single thing was broke during the move! It was a long move, probably 6 hours total. While the price is not cheep, it was comparable to other moving companies in Milwaukee. Moving is stressful and if you can afford movers, I highly recommend this company. read more

I used Bluemound Express Movers twice and both times had a very positive experience. Pros/cons include: Pros: - The guy who booked my appointments (Chad) was very nice and helpful - I had to reschedule a few times (due to delays on my side) and they were understanding and very accommodating - Both moving crews were very professional, respectful and friendly (especially Paul & Matt) Cons: - A little on the pricey side (but I do believe you get what you pay for) - The 2nd moving crew accidentally damaged a few of our steps - I had to chase Mark a few times for the stair repair (the stairs were eventually repaired w/no visible signs of damage though) Despite the higher price and stair damage, I would definitely use Bluemound Express again. I do think their moving crews are higher quality than the competition. In addition, the guys who run it were friendly throughout the process and didn't give me a difficult time about the stair repair. I would just recommend paying the extra for the insurance they offer if you have a heavy/high traffic move. read more

We had some items significantly damaged because of poor loading and storage by Bluemound. We have been trying to resolve the damages but have received no response from contact as well as owner after leaving messages and emails. We have moved several times in the past and something is bound to get damaged. The issue is that we have never had such a lack of response from a company. Ironic that there website talks about treating you like family. I hope they don't treat their family this way. I would steer clear of this company for this reason. read more

We had Bluemound Express move furniture for us. It was a straightforward local move. We have had very good experiences with movers over the years and have moved long distance several times, so this review may seem overly picky, but we had high expectations of this company based on previous experience with them. Pros: 1) Nothing was broken or stolen. Movers standard insurance is a joke, so that should be a given when selecting a moving company. 2) The crew did work steadily with few breaks. Other reviews have mentioned frequent smoking breaks; we did not experience that. 3) Cons: 1) We had some very finely finished pieces that show even minor damage. The manager assured us that these would be handled with special care and we also pointed out those pieces to the crew. The pieces were not wrapped differently than any other furniture and now they have numerous scuffs and blemishes that will require restoration. We moved those pieces cross country with less damage than we saw moving them locally. The company has a better insurance policy available, but this was not mentioned to us until we closed. Recommend that if you want to protect something, bubble wrap it first or at least put painters tape around the base or legs to mitigate damage. Inspect the bases and legs of everything before you sign off. 2) They did not wrap everything inside the house as they claim on the website. Some pieces were loaded on to the truck, then wrapped. 3) Floor protection is not included in the cost and was also never mentioned prior to the move. It is an option at 60.00. We've never had a mover that didn't protect floors as part of the cost. The movers slid a large appliance through the kitchen even though it could have been moved out another way and put visible scratches in the hardwood floor. We need to move another property with some items that need special handling. We will be looking into other movers. read more

We used Bluemound Express for a recent move. We moved everything from one large home to a normal size home. We asked the company to come out and give us a quote. After providing a quote, we compared their number to another company that we have used previously. While they may have quoted about a hundred dollars or so more, we opted to use them since they were local and family owned. We wanted to give them a shot instead of going to the corporate companies. Upon arrival, the movers introduced themselves and were extremely nice and professional. The lead mover was very personable as well. They did a great job moving, caring for our items, having packaging materials on hand that we never thought of using... they were great. It was raining that day, so they put all the right floor matting down so they didn't bring in mud or dirt. That said, when the lead mover walked in, he asked if we had other movers/friends coming to help. He was essentially surprised at what his company told him regarding number of men needed and estimated time to load the truck. Given that he does this every day, he told us right away that the quote didn't appear to align to what he estimated needed to be done. To make a long story short, they hustled all day and brought in even more men when they unloaded the truck. They accommodated and did what they had to do to help us. The tricky part was that the number of hours and number of movers didn't align to the price we were quoted. Once the job was done, it was about $1000 more than what we had expected to pay. Obviously, we had concern about this. After talking to the guy giving the quote, we asked him to provide the name of the people that make ultimate decisions on billing. We were able to resolve the billing. They essentially reimbursed us the difference from the quote they gave us. I definitely appreciate that they worked with us and accommodated the difference and did what was right. I think we all have had times where you are stuck with the bill and this company saw that their quote wasn't really aligned to the real moving needs. The movers, again, were great, but the quoting and billing was a bit of a hassle. I don't get the sense that making low quotes is the norm for them, as the lead mover seemed surprised by this. I think this was a genuine mistake that doesn't happen too often, which they corrected. My suggestion would be to have someone come out and look at the house, like we did, and have the quote written down. If you want to choose a local business, I would still suggest using them. Just pay attention to your numbers. read more

From the minute I made the call and spoke with Mark to the finished job (today) of moving I've never dealt with such excellence. The movers were careful and gracious and worked fast. I've had to hire movers a half dozen times over the past 20 years, and hands down the most insulting experience I ever had was with Bluemound Express. The 2-man crew was nice enough, but only one had any training. The other damaged a wall. The management back at the office tried to play run out the clock in coming over to fix the damage. They also attempted to overcharge me. The office manager actually claimed he was "mediator" between his crew and me as opposed to being their employer. They were nice up front, and then -- once they have the booking -- it all changed. They showed up an hour after the window, and when I called to check on their status, the response I got was "Don't worry, honey, they're on their way." read more

Don't do it run to a moving company with a sense of integrity!! One of the drivers smelled of alcohol. A significant amount of my items was missing. I was told that per the contract they are not responsible for missing or lost items. The contract is not mentioned or provided until you are presented with the bill. Of course you don't know if anything is missing until you have completed your unpacking and they are long gone. Totally a shady operation!!!! DONT DO IT RUN!!!! read more

If I could give them a zero rating I would. Bluemound express committed fraud with my move. They showed up 26 minutes late and when I question the charge That I needed to pay for the additional time they were not there, they said that I needed to take it up with the people at the corporate office. I called within 10 minutes after the movers left and was told that someone would get back to me but of course no one ever called. I disputed the amount for the time they were not there with the credit card company but it's my word against theirs even though I have cell records proving when they showed up. They also charged you for 30 minutes prior to your scheduled arrival and 30 minutes leaving your location for their travel costs but they failed to disclose this to me when making the reservation. Do not use this company, but if you do and they show up to your job 30 minutes late do not sign the sheet at the end of the move. read more

Horrible service! came in two small of truck 2 hours late causing closing problems. paid extra for insurance that is a scam and does not cover missing items. movers put most of my boxes upside down even though they were clearly marked up, CAUSING DAMAGE. The pros for this company are that they arrived promptly and the guys on both ends of the move (storage in between) worked very hard. The cons are several items were damaged in the move, due to careless in storage and moving, including our piano where one corner of it is chipped off. In spite of paying extra for insurance, this company has been unresponsive regarding the fixing of these items. They said to get it fixed on our own and send them the bill. In trying to clarify the procedure for this, they have not responded. For the price we paid for the move and storage, I would expect better communication and care for our belongings.
