We contracted a black aluminum fence to be installed to surround our in-ground pool and a small portion of the lawn to provide an outdoor area for our two dogs. The proposal was fair and accepted. Everything seemed to be going as proposed until the installation began, and it became instant buyer's remorse. The install was early spring, and the ground was still soft. The fence was completed within a week and they left. When I arrived home from work that afternoon, I immediately went down to the pool to look at the finished job and was utterly dismayed. The aluminum fence and entire pool area was a muddy mess, nine of the panels and the posts could easily be moved three to four inches with my fingertips. I called and voiced my concern, and they sent the same two installers out the next day to repair it. When I came home from work that day five of the nine panels were completed and they had to be called back out again. The panel issue was finally addressed, and my wife and I began a weekend of cleaning all of the mud off of the pool deck, stairs, driveway, and of all things the fence itself. The black fence was half brown with muddy handprints everywhere. While cleaning the fence we found that several of the caps on the top of the posts were damaged and needed to be replaced because it looks as if the installers placed the caps on the post, flipped it over and banged it on the concrete deck to snug the cap, scuffing up the cap and removing the paint in the process.......and then it got worse. Several weeks later as Aquarius was out to open our pool it was discovered that during the fence install, they had run one of the posts through the top of buried pools pump line. The bill for finding the leak, excavation and repair was $3,500. When I asked Mr. Fence It about their covering the damage from the installation they said it was a private line and not a utilities line and that they were not responsible or liable for the cost to repair. My attorney is currently looking into what might be the best avenue for recovering our expenses thus far but suffice it to say that this company has little regard for owning up to a mistake and making it right with the customer. I am posting this as a warning to any future readers to definitely consider looking elsewhere if considering this business in any future projects and if you are possibly considering Mr. Fence It you are more than welcome to call or email me and I will be more than glad to walk you around my property and show you their quality of work. We provided them with our idea of what we needed by giving them a drawing in Autocad. They came to our home and review the pitched roof which connected with a sloping roof line where we needed a special, custom made gutter and down spout. The rain was pouring off this roof and corner and causing a mess on our astro-turf patio. The rain was also splashing into and through our sliding patio doors. The young men inspected the roof and confirmed that our gutter specifications agreed with their assessment, We scheduled a day and time with them, they showed up on time and finished the work in a couple hours. Total price was $235.00 which I felt was a great price for the work.

I got an estimate from Chris, & it was a bit lower than another company's. We conducted almost 100% of our business over the phone or via text. When he texted the job was done, I went to check on the work and everything looked good, except for one piece over a dormer that got skipped. I texted Chris a photo and within two hours of my text the work was done & a fresh photo texted back to me. We're going to meet in person within the hour to swap an invoice for a check. This has been a very easy-going process for me, and I'm sure my husband and I will ask A-Seal-Tite for a gutter estimate on the house we now live in.

Pamela was an amazing designer, patient and took the time to put together what we needed. She explained everything thoroughly and there were no surprises. Love the cabinets, countertops and her recommendations for options. Unfortunately this is quickly over shadowed by the attitudes of the staff. Having been in for a couple items to match our existing home (original construction supplier) while finishing our basement, the staff generally presents themselves as being irritated that they are having to deal with an owner instead of a contractor. I am not sure if this attitude is due to their order system or just the culture among the staff. Typically the interaction starts with a very polite "How may I help you?" And after you explain what you are there for or following up on it is followed with "Well who did you speak with before?" If you have a name, they quickly push the issue off on that person. I'd you don't they generally give you a look of annoyance and begrudgingly provide you with assistance. The other issue that was experienced is the very well marked and posted signs requiring face mask for entry due to the pandemic. Upon walking in, not a single staff member was wearing a mask. Double standards are very evident and generally not appreciated as a customer. If you are going to post a requirement, your staff better be the ones leading by example. The reason for the 3-stars is based solely on selection of items and construction material, do not expect a helpful staff experience unless you are a regular contractor that makes sizable purchases from here on a regular basis.
