Jamal needs to read the contracts and claims, and any complaint he might have is with the insurance company, not Takoda. They replaced the roof twice (because of hail damage) and did the gutters on our new house. The work is always fast, reasonably priced, and done RIGHT. I am hiring them to do more work on our new house as well. Don't let someone who is taking his frustrations out on the wrong person because he doesn't understand how insurance works color your view.

On Monday of this week (7/8/2024), I was told that someone looked at my house and that I had a lot of damage. I thought that was a little odd because I'm home most days and didn't see anyone. I also have cameras in front and behind my house and they were never triggered, but I shrugged it off. The appointment today was for between 11 and noon. The person texted and said he would be here between 11-11:15. At 11:20, I got this text: "Hey, David Cricket husker. Putting together your information head your way going through the pictures. I got your pictures. Confuse with another house. I use their address for you. And after looking at the reports, and I've looked in a couple. Other houses out in your neighborhood. You don't have hail damage. I do apologize." . Here's the rest: Husker: I'm so sorry. Your area didn't get hit Me: My pictures? No one has been here yet. My house is on ----- Drive. The house three houses down from me is getting their roof replaced today due to the hail damage Husker: Let me get back to the office. Double check all this. I'm waiting for a call back from. He does my roofing up inspections. Give me a minute please. Me: I have cameras on the front and back of my house. I can tell you nobody has been here since I contacted you to look at my house. Husker: Okay. Waiting for ---- to text me back. I'll get this figured out. Me: At the risk of sounding like a total jerk, this has frustrated me enough that I'm already looking at another company. You could be here looking at the roof in the amount of time it takes to wait on a text. Husker: That's definitely your prerogative, but I'm 65. I don't get on roofs anymore. I gave this to ----. At that time, we felt confident that the job would be done well thanks to the sales rep that was at our home. We were promised everything we were concerned with would be handled. AGR was terrible with communication, we did not know when the roof would be done or when their contractors would show up. We had people showing up randomly, sometimes not even doing any work, leaving our gate open, and leaving materials all over our yard and driveway. After the roof was completed, there were nails all over our yard and driveway. The roof looked terrible when it was completed, did not look professional at all. And on top of that, our brand new fence gate was damaged and bent by AGR employees and they have not addressed that concern at all. Trying to get ahold of anyone to address our concerns has been the most difficult process ever. It is now 6+ months later, and we have not had some of the work done that was promised by AGR. We would not recommend this company to anyone looking to get a great, professional roofing service.

BBB complaint I filed-…read more I noticed that I had standing water in my kitchen that was coming through a crack in my ceiling. After doing some troubleshooting in the attic I realized that the issue was coming from the roof. I called Above and Beyond Roofing to come out and take a look since they were the ones that replaced my roof. They came out, agreed that the leak was coming from the boot and put caulk around it to stop the leak. The leak did stop. I let them know that I would be contacting a handyman to get an estimate for the repairs for the water damage. Within the next few days I called them and emailed Above and Beyond roofing with no response. After getting the estimate I called them again and was able to talk. Above and Beyond Roofing started saying that the estimate I got was ridiculous and the leak wasn't their fault. I sent them the pictures I took, detailing the leak and the steps I took while troubleshooting. No response. I called them again today and they came out but only to argue that the estimate I got was ridiculous and the leak wasn't their fault. I am only asking them to repair the damages caused by the leak by a reputable handyman and the items I had to purchase while troubleshooting (gloves to work with water and insulation, a flashlight for working in the attic, and a can of Flexseal and waterproof tape).
