We've been to several venues like this and really enjoyed that the layout of the amphitheater seemed to take into account giving everyone a great view and making everyone comfortable. The seated area with the plastic seats was super comfortable with a slight angle to the floor so that even short people like me could see. Even the stone rings around the top of the theater were designed for people to sit there and enjoy the show. At this particular show, it poured rain. Overall, I thought the staff did a really decent job of maintaining order and keeping everything together. The one thing I didn't like was the security crew insisting that you had to go all the way around to the top of the seated area if you had a ticket to get in there. They wouldn't check your ticket and let you just walk in the "short way." Since it was pouring rain, this was more of an issue than it might have been on a sunny day. But seriously -- no one was trying to get one over... people just wanted the shortest route from A to B. But whatever. Beautiful venue and a really nice place to see a show. If you're headed there in the summer, bring bug spray.

Sponsored in part by the Fargo Public School system, Trollwood (as it's normally shortened to) is a school that teaches students about becoming actors/actresses, working the stage as stage hands and crew, building sets, and running productions for the main show, and art classes, music classes, ballet, dancing, and more. Every summer they put on a production be it either Broadway, off-Broadway or simply something fun for cheap under the stars - bring mosquito repellent just in case. The new bowl seating is great... but still freeze/floods a bit. Some other events including concerts, mini-performances by the younger students, lectures, talks, and performances by traveling groups also happen here. The parking is slightly better at the new location, I'll give it that.

Excellent programs, small enough to know your professors and advisors and get all of your questions…read moreasked and answered! You can get through your programs in 4 years and get working immediately. This makes a big difference when you compare tuition! Check it out; you may qualify for tuition assistance based on your family's income. Many students receive substantial yearly support based on their high school GPA (or ACT) as well! I went through their nursing program and graduated, easily finding a position in healthcare. I worked in the adult ICU, the Peds ICU and the Neonatal ICU. Then went on to grad school for a Masters in Science and obtained a Family Nurse Practitioner degree through the University of Minnesota. It set me up for advanced practice very well. Their program commonly has NCLEX pass rates between 93 and 100% depending on the cohort. It recently was also named "The #1 Nursing School in MN" for two consecutive years. Whatever your major, you can't go wrong in choosing Concordia College. Take that first step and come take a tour. We would love to visit with you about your dreams for the future!

    1. Beautiful campus-- Welcoming, feels like home, very nice facilities (especially the Integrated…read moreScience Center). Plus the Fargo-Moorhead area has lots to do in comparison to many other towns. 2. Great professors and other resources: They care about you as a person, and they care about your academic success. Professors are typically willing to adapt and work with you as long as you communicate effectively. Never had a bad professor in 4 years. The school provides all the tools you need to succeed, including access to databases for research, staff at the "Center for Student Success" to assist you with writing papers, giving speeches, writing resumes, connecting you with internships or other opportunities, and more. It's up to you to decide how you want to use those resources! 3. Core curriculum: The school requires a few classes outside of your major, which expands your perspective about the world. It can be beneficial to learn about things that you were unfamiliar with, and you will probably find connections from those classes to your own field of study. 4. Tuition/Cost: Yes, it appears to be rather expensive. However, there are lots of scholarship opportunities that can really make it affordable for most. Reach out to the school/do some searching to see what that might look like. 5. Extracurriculars: I had a great experience as an athlete at Concordia. I know that the music program has a great reputation. There are also fun intramural leagues and other clubs to join, if interested.
