It posseses open fireplaces, and a choice of cozy tables for 2 or 4, and long tables for larger parties in the back. HRH Prince Charles, Dylan Thomas have both visited here, to sample the beer still brewed on the premesis. The food is pricey, but what a meal you get for your money! A huge plateful that would be enough for two! the most reasonable is the Roast dinners, approx £10 a head. The walls and ceilings of the Inn are covered in memorobilia, from horse brasses to farming tolls, there is enough to occupy your mind while you wait for your meal. On your way to the loo you will encounter a full suit of armour, and in the back are fish tanks, and a talking parrot!

Of course why bother going to a pub to see the ocean (other than it's less windy inside)? I was hungry, and Claire and Leigh obliged me with a spectacular sausage and mash plate that I did my best to devour. Not to mention that I walked away for under fifteen quid. I owe my server a tip - I'll have to rectify that next time. Seriously, I had heard that "this place had gone downhill" but I'm told that there's new management and for me at least the staff were all prompt, pleasant, attentive, and professional. In America we trip over ourselves looking for this quality of food and service, and here I have discovered it in the Welsh countryside. While the pub provides a really nice atmosphere, the service is slow and the food is worse than what you get in the average British pub. Half an hour after we've ordered our food, we asked how much longer it will take, and they said that they'd overlooked our order, and that they'll make sure that our meals are prepared immediately. Another half our later, when we already considered to leave and asking them to give us our money back, the food arrived. The chips were soggy, the rice wasn't freshly cooked, and the "prawns" in the prawn curry turned out to be tiny shrimps. I'd recommend to go there and have a pint (because the pub is one of the main sights of the town), but get your food somewhere else.

The beach here is about 4 miles long - very sandy, and when the weather's nice, a great place to hang out. You can even dip a toe in the water, provided the tide is in, otherwise you'll have quite a walk to find the sea. Go on, try a lovely pint of Felinfoel, eat some great Welsh food, and hang by the beach after. A splendid way to spend a few hours. :-)

Second time there were a lot of empty tables but were told they are not accepting walk ins ( we tried numerous times to make a reservation but no-one answered the phone). Both times we were greeted by a very nasty female bartender. Must be good because a lot of people eat there but they certainly aren't very good ambassadors for Wales and I wouldn't recommend even trying to eat here.
