I was invited by a member to join him for a bourbon and cigar dinner boy was this a great event where we were able to sample Bourbons from a select distributor as well as enjoy a wonderful variety of exotic meats to pair with the bourbon and with cigars

This place is very cute, not entirely fancy, but it has some nice views! Came here for a wedding this past weekend. They have their own parking lot which is a plus! They also have a valet which I found a lil strange bc the parking lot was not a far walk from the entrance. Cocktail hour was good. I really enjoyed the coconut shrimp, tuna tartar (nice and spicy), and the beef wellington. The scallops wrapped in bacon were a bit on the tough side and the mini hot dogs were a lil overcooked, but they were still decent. They have a fully stocked bar during cocktail hour as well. My favorite part of weddings are always the cocktail hour and it was great. Dinner was just alright. The salad (cranberry, feta, sunflower seeds, and other stuff), I thought, was delicious, but the people at my table said there was something really bitter in the salad. Dinner wasn't that great. My husbands meal was the steak. Steak was cooked perfectly, but it was very tough and bland. Even putting tons of gravy on it didn't help. My meal was a combo of chicken and salmon. The salmon was very flaky and delicious. They had a fig sauce which was delicious, but it did make the dish entirely sweet. The chicken was a tad tough. The side they had with it, I wasn't really too fond of. I think it was cous cous or something. It was just BLAH. My son's meal was chicken fingers and fries and OMG, were they beyond greasy! I felt like it sat it cold grease. Servers are great! They constantly refilled water, asked if we needed anything, etc. They were on top of things. Very fast and very nice!

Lunch was served right at the exact expected time, on a buffet table, but with a bunch of tasty, very edible banquet food, as well as treats. The non-mayo pasta salad was very flavorful, with an olive oil dressing you can taste. The fruit salad was fresh, fruit almost ripe, another day or two would have been perfect, but please, don't serve the orange slices with skin on, you had to resort to fingering the orange, messy. Room temp grilled veggies was a nice addition. The hot trays included a messy, overcooked cheese steak mixture, kind of stringy, not the best, hard to serve yourself. And also hot was a nice sausage, pepper and onions tray to add to the wonderfully fresh hard rolls, which were only hard by definition, certainly not texture. A delicious hoagie sliced in four-finger sized pieces and french fries which could have been cooked a little more finished out the pre-dessert selections. For dessert there was a tray of sugar cookies, white chocolate cookies, brownies, and a basket of soft pretzels with various mustards. Very well done. Dessert was 4 stars. This was A-OK, it was good, not bad like my last year's experience at White Manor, but not near as good as Commonwealth National or Philadelphia Country Club.

They have removed hundreds of trees opening up the Course and providing more wide open vistas, especially from the clubhouse terrace. The view from the Clubhouse veranda is fabulous. You can see the LuLu Clubhouse, a neighboring Club, in the distance. The original trolley is still operational. It takes your bags and you up to the Clubhouse from the 18th & 9th greens while caddy's take the carts around up the long winding cart paths. All very quant and old timey. The layout is challenging with many changes in elevation and some very challenging greens. The greens are impeccable although I remember them being even faster. The rough was a bit harsh. Very easy to lose your ball if you do not keep your tee shot on the fairways. A bit windy on our day otherwise conditions were perfect. We never felt pushed and never caught up to any group in front. Caddy master explained they space each group 15 minutes apart. Very nice and quite a change from the 5-7 minute spacing at some public Courses. The staff are wonderful. Friendly, accommodating and always ready to assist. We had a bite to eat after the round. The food is higher end Country Club. Playing here is a real treat as I no longer have a private club membership myself. If you can get on the Course I highly recommend it. Mark.

Even though it…read morewas pouring on our royal wedding (5/19/18), everything went so smoothly thanks to our helpful coordinator, Mark McCool. Mark is very humble, sincere, and really patient throughout the entire year long planning and execution process. Even on my wedding day, he went the extra mile to got me a fresh apple for breakfast. I was truly impressed and couldn't have asked for a better wedding coordinator. The country club is a great facility with beautiful golf courses and gorgeous backdrops for an outdoor wedding. As it poured during my wedding, the country club has great contingency rain accommodations and the ceremony was held in the Garden Room. I highly recommend renting out the full facility as you may need it in case if it rains. We ended up using all of the rooms: Garden (Ceremony), Magnolia (Cocktail), and Conservatory (Reception). Since the facility isn't that large, it's easy to shepherd guests between the rooms. While the Garden room boasts stunning panoramic views floor to ceiling of the golf course, the Conservatory room has impressive high ceilings and spacious dance floor. My small/medium wedding of 100 guests was perfect for the venue, about 12 tables fit comfortably in the Conservatory reception room without elbow rubbing. I wouldn't recommend more than 150 guests here as guests will have to sit awkwardly upstairs. Our guests enjoyed the Venetian table full of desserts, cheese displays, and pasta station (the spicy penne pasta was the best!). I also really liked the signature sangria cocktail and highly recommend it! There were a few minor pain points. I don't recommend the premium scotch bar. As there were no displays or listing of types of spirits being offered, the guests didn't know about it and wasn't worth the additional $700. The restrooms were a bit dirty and could have been better kept. The bridal suite is spacious, but could be a bit nicer. Lastly, I was disappointed with the bridal attendant. She was unreliable and mostly absent, I would hire your own day of coordinator. The good certainly overshadowed these small pain points. Overall, I really enjoyed my wedding & highly recommend Talamore in sunshine or rain!

In 2014 they received the "Best Wedding Location" on Wedding Wire. The grounds are awesome and there isn't a bad view on the property. The main banquet room has a large terrace that overlooks the golf course and this is where we ended up getting married and having the cocktail hour. Our plan was to get married in the small outdoor garden near the entrance to the restaurant but due to thunderstorms we had to go with plan B. I thought they could have done a better job of setting up the seating on the terrace and taken a few more minutes to organize it. We were very rushed. The center pieces were part of the wedding package and were provided by Valley Green Florists in Spring House. I was informed just before the ceremony that the center pieces had not arrived and Valley Green said that we were taking care of them. This was not the case. Joe Wurtz did take care of it and had them make up center pieces and had them in time for the reception. The day we got married it was 90+ degrees. The small A/C unit in the Bridal Suite couldn't keep up and it was extremely hot up there. As with any business you need to have a manager that oversees everything and keeps things on track. Joe Wurtz organizes all of the functions and I couldn't have asked for a better man. From the first time we visited the club to the last dance at our wedding Joe did everything in his power to make things run smoothly. Joe was visible during our entire event and made sure to frequently check to see if everything was going well. The servers also asked how the food was and were top notch the entire night. The kitchen crew did a great job and I'm still getting compliments on the Hors d'oeuvres and main courses. I'm a bit picky when it comes to food so I wanted to ensure that none of the food was frozen. I was happy to learn that they make almost 100% of the Hors D'oeuvres from scratch. It was obvious that this was true because all of them were delicious.

The only thing that I'm upset about is that I was not sure how to use my maître d' or any of the butler staff. They told me I could ask them for anything, but I wasn't entirely sure of what that meant. As I'm trying to get from one room to the next, I'm being dragged in all different directions from various guests that want to say hello to me and wish me well. I didn't really get to eat because of all the craziness. I guess I should've asked for them to bring me food from the hors d'oeuvre room into The private bridal suite. The one thing I knew I was missing were the delicious dips and macaroni and cheese bar. There were a few times I had to look for the staff when I absolutely knew I needed them. It would've worked out better if one of them stuck to my side at all times. The other thing that was sort of out of place was the timeline. They pulled my cake out before we did the group photo opportunity and the "bouquet toss". I never saw my dessert table, so I'm not sure if they put the takeout containers out for my guests to bring some cookies and brownies back to the room with them. It was such a hectic night. I'm so glad I got a videographer to record it all, so I can go back and look at the things that I missed. The one thing that stressed me out about this venue is that guests had to go through a gate with a security guard to get permission to enter. At one point, the security guard was not in his booth. So one of my bridesmaids, who is on the phone with her guest, found me and told me of the situation. I'm so glad that we were able to address it quickly, and fortunately, all of our guests were able to make it without issue. I had provided a cake topper during my drop off appointment, and when I went into the ballroom, I noticed a completely different cake topper on my cake. Apparently, my mother-in-law had a surprise for us and wanted it sat on the Sweetheart table. Instead, the staff removed the cake topper that I personally wanted and replaced it with the cake topper that she brought in, which should've been just sat on the sweetheart table. I had it switched out before all the guests began to enter the room, but I was sad that it was not put on display like my mother-in-law wanted so she could see the joy and excitement on everyone's faces, including ours. I hope she doesn't feel like we purposely didn't want it at all at our wedding. Another thing that stuck out is the cake was supposed to have cannoli cream, and it didn't taste anything at all like we had tasted at our tasting in the fall. We started eating the top-tier the cake as soon as we got home, and I don't see any cannoli chips in this cake. It doesn't taste anything like cannoli cream. That made me kind of sad because I was really looking forward to a cannoli cream cake, and it was nothing like I had tasted. I had a lot of guests who were confused about where they were sitting. They did not notice the table seating chart on the other side of the cocktail room. So I had to make an announcement to the guests to review the seating chart. I thought it was going to be placed on the gift box table. I guess for logistic reasons they had to put it on the other side of the room so there wouldn't be a crazy traffic jam. Heather, our event coordinator was super responsive and helpful. She warmly transferred us to all the different people that we had to work with in a very professional efficient way. When it came time to putting together the banquet order, she was very knowledgeable and helped explain to us a lot of things that we wouldn't of even have asked, but were very good to know. She also gave us some very helpful tips for planning our centerpiece setup. She did very well in providing us with documents for us to return. Whomever is in charge of creating all the documentation for these weddings is a star. I'm so glad that everything was written out, so we could look it over and make sure that we were doing exactly what was expected of us to make our day go exactly how we wanted. Overall, this venue met every single one of our needs. All of the staff at Normandy Farms that's we work with throughout this wedding planning journey were amazing.
