Friendly lady at check in. I asked about where to get the cart and she told me to go down stairs and a gent would give me a cart and directions to first hole. I went downstairs but no one was there. I walked to the other end of the shed , found a guy , and asked him if he was who I needed to see about getting a cart. He gruffly replied the he would help me as soon as he got finished cleaning the cart he was working on!!! After a couple of minutes he gave us a cart. The course has a lot of character but the fairways are non existent. Mostly sand and weeds. Even in the middle of the fairway , it was like hitting out of fairway bunkers all day long. Greens and tee boxes were ok, so I assume there is no irrigation in the fairways. 65 for 18 holes. Should be about 35. Would gladly pay 100 if there was grass in the fairways. Great potential if someone put a few bucks in the place. read more

We are extremely disappointed with our experience at Bluewater Bay Golf Course today. Three local families who have regularly supported this course and play often, both fathers and sons, will no longer be spending our time or money here after the way our teenagers were treated by the new course Marshall and by Holden. Our 15-year-old boys, who are respectful, responsible, and have played this course many times before, arrived for their tee time ready to enjoy the day together like they have so many times before. They were not only denied access by the course marshal because they are not yet 16 but aggressively belittled and made fun of. This age restriction was not clearly stated on the course website, and they were not made aware of it before booking. To make matters worse, they did not receive a full refund. We were told the money had gone to the booking company and that there was nothing that could be done in the most condescending and unprofessional manner. Our families were paying about $40 per teen for their experience and were happy to do so as it meant our kids could spend an afternoon being active together, but we left feeling dismissed, disrespected and targeted. The most disappointing part was the way the situation was handled. The course marshal and another employee, Holden, spoke to these young men in a way that felt unnecessarily rude and aggressive. We have also had previous concerns about this marshal's interactions with these teenagers, including comments about their appearance and accusations regarding the course that had no merit whatsoever. When one of the boys' mothers came to address the refund issue and make sure they were treated fairly, the interaction continued to be disrespectful. The biggest issue was not the policy itself. If this situation had been handled with even an ounce of professionalism toward these teenagers and their parent, there would have been no issue. We would have understood the policy, accepted it, and simply chosen to play somewhere else. Instead, the way this was communicated made these young men and their parent feel disrespected and belittled. A policy can be enforced without making customers, especially teenagers, feel like they are unintelligent, unwelcome, or beneath the person enforcing it. The tone and attitude shown during this interaction were completely unnecessary and not what we would expect from a business serving this awesome community. We understand that golf courses have rules and policies, and those policies should be followed. However, rules can be communicated professionally and respectfully, especially when dealing with young customers who are trying to enjoy the sport. It is unfortunate that the actions of a few employees have resulted in three families who have supported this course choosing not to ever return. We hope management takes a serious look at how young golfers and families are being treated. read more

Man I REALLY hate to give bad reviews, but I also believe you should get what you pay for. You WILL NOT get what you pay for at this golf course! The course layout is great, and it gets pretty tight on several holes, but the course maintenance is atrocious! The entire course looks like it has not been maintained for months and needs water badly! Then you'll find some areas under water! Bald spots all over the place. No grass on the tee boxes and the greens, we'll just call them sandy browns at this course, are nothing but dirt with patches of something green in places. Good luck with your puts!! This course could be great. But until they get their grounds maintenance squared away, this course isn't even worth it at half price. If I were a member at this course I WOULD BE PISSED!! It'll be a long time before I consider playing this course again. read more

Marsh course is decent, this place needs sprinklers bad on their greens, the marsh course has better greens and fairways than the bay course. We played 18 holes and still had a good time but most of the greens don't have grass on the edges of em, some of the fairways and tee boxes don't have any grass, but overall a cool course that has potential just needs some work. read more

Terrible looking course and denied the rental of clubs due to how we look. Never going back again

Probably one of the worst golf courses I have ever played over the last 17 years. It's looks like there isn't even a groundskeeper. The tee boxes are over grown, the greens are in terrible shape. Each shot you make you don't know if you will be hitting off sand, a rock, or pine straw that they use to cover the terrible grass. Just have some sense of ownership in a golf course. The best part is they actually believe "we are one of the better golf courses in the area" I would only return if they hired a new groundskeeper and the wait staff wasn't terrible as well. I give it 5 years before the golf is turned into new housing. read more

Love the set up here. 3 9 hole courses they shuffle up so you can play a few days while in town. Great people and the cart girl makes several trips by so you don't go thirsty ! Have fun ! read more

An absolutely lovely gated community in the eastern part of Niceville. Marina, restaurant, golf, and a lot of very nice upper middle class and higher-end homes. Basically zero crime, good schools, and a generally great place to live. Kind of low to the water in a bad storm though. read more

This is for the golf course, not the community. While the course conditions and staff were fine, I felt they deceived us when I asked about their club rental selection. They told me the clubs were Taylormade RAC's but failed to mention that some of the clubs were Taylormade RAC's and the rest where no-name pieces of crap. Guessed they needed the rounds? read more

Will not be returning. Following an afernoon round of golf and a visit to the bar my credit card was charged twice for a round of drinks. I returned to the bar at a later date for my refund that, over the phone, was promised to be quick and painless and to bring my card and bank statement. This was not the case.. they were unable to offer me a prompt and accurate refund even after bringing what they asked. Had to end up disputing the charges with my bank. It is obvious the staff is not trained properly and also careless. read more

Restaurant stunk. Food was OK, but service was worse than horrible. A party of 8 that sat down after we ordered received their food 15 minutes before our group did. Asked for the check and it arrived - 20 minutes later, after two reminders. Server was surly and had excuses for everything. Positives: Staff were very friendly and they have an affordable bar/restaurant. Carts were pretty nice too. Otherwise, the place is pretty crappy. Looking back, the $32 "deal" wasn't worth it. Cartpaths are bad, greens are rolling about a 6, and it's the most poorly marked course I've ever played. I wish we had known this ahead of time and spent an extra $20 to experience something worthwhile. Do NOT play here if it has been raining in the days leading up to your round. read more
