I love this place!!! I had moved to Maple Valley about a year ago and this was the first salon that I had gone to, and I would never go anywhere else. The prices are very affordable, they have a check in process where you rack up points and get discounts based on the things that interest you, also if you sign up for text messaging your get discounts alert there as well :-) the salon itself is very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is great as well, everyone is friendly and they all wear uniforms and have a name tag on which I had never encountered at other salons and I like the feel of professionalism. All the times I've came here, the nails always turned out a bit wonky and trashy looking. I always want to give the best review, but the nails just didn't cut it for me. Besides the nails the place is very very clean and beautiful and relaxing. The workers are somewhat nice but barely talk and seem to be annoyed with me. This place use to be really great. I don't know what happened but they have now have the worst service and the work they do is just as awful. I went in for a manicure, which took them all of 20 minutes to complete. The technician cut me twice, and they charged me for a deluxe manicure I didn't ask for. To make matters worse, the deluxe is suppose to include a paraffin dip, which was definitely not done. We all have choices where we take our business, so I will absolutely choose another nail salon in the future. read more

Jasmin did my nails, and they are horrible. I asked for medium length, stiletto nails. I got the farthest from that. They aren't even, the acrylic is even covering my entire nail. & when I asked her to fix things (repeatedly) she 100% ignored me. Then she messed up the polish, and when I asked her to fix it, she again, ignored me. I definitely will not be back here. read more

I admit to being hyper critical of my nails and of the few brave technicians over the years who have become my go-to's. That being said I have gone to BlueWater on a semi regular basis for a few years mostly out of schedule and location convenience. I have never connected with any one technician here and am typically satisfied with consistent end result. I had never reviewed the salon because i thought there was nothing to review until recently. I had fallen in love with a style of polish and in order to get the specific color result I hoped for there needed to be some experimenting. The owner (?) came over and explained this then asked me a few questions then he did some examples and when he had come very close to what I requested he instructed the tech on how to accomplish the results which she did. Time to find a new nail salon! I get my nails done every 2 to 3 weeks. I have NEVER had any issues... until now. I get an acrylic fill and gel polish. I thought blue water nails was going to be my forever nail place since it's so close to home! Wrong!! The first couple times I loved it! Then the last three times have been a total let down!! Three appointments ago, my pinky and ring finger nails were left lumpy and misshapened. I thought this is a fluke I'll go back no big deal. Three weeks later I go in and the girl shapes my nails very nicely then starts painting them. She was having a hard time because with gel once you go under the light it's suppose to dry. But some of the nails were not drying. This has never happened. So she had me move my hand around under the light to make sure all nails would dry. Finally they did and all was good...But no it's not! Not even a full week and they are chipping and peeling. So I called and the nice man said come on in. And when I got there this same women (wish I had seen someone else since the first time around she had trouble!) repainted my nails. Same thing, paint would not dry; she has me moving my hands in all sorts of directions under the light. This was a free fix, so I didn't want to complain. But when I left and really looked at my nails the polish is lumpy and patchy from areas that did dry and areas that didn't dry. What a shame!! Bye Bye Blue Water Nails. read more

I went in for a pedi with a paraffin hand treatment...didn't want a full manicure. Tran was fabulous with my pedi. She was gentle when using the metal tool I am scared of! Polish looks excellent...I would go back for her. However, the woman who did my paraffin dip and mani w/o Polish was rough and she didn't prep my nails properly for top coat. There must have been too much oil on the surface because I waited 20 mins in the pedi chair for them to dry with no progress. I finally helped myself to a dryer and left with still sticky nails after 10 more minutes! The top coat got in my hair and all mucked up by the time I got home. I didn't have time to ask them to fix it after waiting so long. I will look for another salon to frequent, but I will go back in a pinch and Tran is available. Salon was clean and I did receive excellent customer service on the phone and when paying. read more

I went in to get my acrylics removed & the lady (Jasmine) was very rough on my nails & did not ask if I was hurting. She took off one of my acrylics & my real nail came off with it. She realized it & didn't stop & kept prying it off. I handed her the money & she said, "no tip?". Not impressed. read more

Not a fan...yet. New to the area and this salon. Went in for a regular manicure and for repair of a thumbnail that was splitting vertically. Jasmine was my manicurist. I asked for gel or acrylic to fix the nail but she put a fiberglass/silk sheet over the nail (which tore again that night) and then painted my nails. I have to say I wasn't impressed by the paint job - some of the sides were not painted and there was some paint on my cuticles which was not cleaned off. I could've done that same job myself. Regardless, I went back the next day to have my thumbnail repaired again. Different manicurist put gel on the nail and repainted. Unfortunately that also broke and I ended up cutting the nail very short. I haven't been there for a pedicure, but am willing to go back and try it. While I was getting the nail repaired the second time, I watched the manicurist next to me do some fancy nails for a teenager, which I'd also like to try. We'll see how subsequent visits go. read more

I went to the Spa for a pedicure with my daughter yesterday. I was not impressed. I made an appointment the day before so that I would have some good attention and we could have our pedicures at the same time. Well, they must have let some walk-ins or just overbooked because when we came there was not enough ladies working there. So instead of having our feet done together, they did my daughter first and then me. It took 2X as long and we felt rushed, not the great quality that they promised the day before. This place is not cheap. So overall, it was disappointing. I will not be coming back. Didn't deliver on their promises. read more

For many years this was my place. I loved how it was decorated and the nice atmosphere. Than they hired the guy, or he bought the place and it all changed. The ladies are rushed and not as fun, the atmosphere has changed. HE is rude!!! Mothers day I walked in in a hurry asked if they had time for me he barked something at me, and when I mentioned I was just in a hurry he said something to the tech and she ended up skipping the usual massage (I guess his way of getting me out faster) SO boo.
