For the engagement pictures we went down to a park along the scioto river, we brought our new at the time puppy to be party of the photo shoot :) ! Amanda was so patient with him and got some great shots of him! The wedding day came and so did Amanda with two assistant photographers. Amanda did a wonderful job catching all the moments that I said were important to me as well as 900 extra moments! Each photographer took around 1000 pictures, so between the three of them, there was not a special moment missed! It was really important to me to have all types of pictures, the formal ones, the ceremony moments, artsy pictures, editorial pictures and journalistic. And I was extremely pleased with all the pictures!!! My wedding guests complemented Amanda and her assistants many times to me. Rose is the best photographer in Columbus!…read more I think every photographer has their own specialty, and Rose's gift is capturing magical moments. I don't know how she does it, but she manages to get these unposed, couldn't-have-planned-them-better moments. I first met Rose a couple of years ago at the Jeni's Yelp event, and she took my favorite photo ever. She captured the exact moment when I met Jeni -- and you can see every bit of excitement and nervousness as this fanboy met his crush. Since then, I've hired Rose several times for work and personal, and everyone is completely thrilled with the results. She also donates her precious time once a quarter to help photograph our Columbus SOUP events -- where she truly captures the joy and the spirit of the events. My husband was dubious about spending money on someone else taking photos of our new baby (he…read morethinks since I have a nice camera I could get the same result), but I am so glad I convinced him. Immediately after arriving at Amanda's studio, and seeing the many, many setups/backgrounds set up and all the prop/outfit options, my husband started to realize how much goes into just preparing to take the photos, especially given how above and beyond Amanda went with accommodating our ideas. Even before the shoot, Amanda was amazing at communicating as we emailed back and forth before the baby was born to discuss ideas and make sure we were prepared to get the best photo results possible when the day came. After she was born, our baby was refusing to sleep unless she was held but somehow, with Amanda's prep instructions and whatever magic she performed at the studio, our baby was calm and asleep for just about the whole 3 hour session! Any doubts my husband had about the value of our newborn photoshoot disappeared even before we got our photos back, and we are so in love with how they turned out once we did. We are so glad we trusted Amanda with capturing those memories for us.
