Peters Photography did outstanding work for our daughter's senior pictures three years ago. Both the session and the portraits that came out of them were excellent! Tomorrow it is our son's turn at his senior picture experience and we're very excited, me, especially so, because I didn't get a chance to be in the studio myself last time, although I did get to follow via phone calls and texts with detailed play-by-play. :-) I highly recommend the Peters Photography experience and portraits. Avoid like the Plague. Peter's is overpriced and they will not tell you upfront what the cost will be. The photos are great if you want to spend $1000+ for very few prints. If you want digital copies you might have to remortgage your home. They use a very slick sales process (peters even puts on sales seminars for other photographers on how to do it from what another photographer told me). They make you sit down with them to see the prints and then give you very confusing pricing. It ruins the whole experience. I can't look at my daughters pictures without being resentful. I had my senior pictures done here back in 2010 so I decided to take my daughter for her baby pictures . I took my daughter for a newborn(well 4 month old) session under their diaper special. I was very excited to go since I was unable to get official pictures as a new born with her since she was a premie. ANYWAY- not only did I enjoy the experience but I could tell my little girl did also. She was very relaxed and even when she got unsettle Janine was able to calm her to finish the set ! I can't say enough good things about the two photographers that helped create such beautiful pictures ( Janine and Lisa ). It was such a relaxed and fun experience. They captured my little girl perfectly. After my shooting I scheduled to come back and view the pictures. Now the only thing I would say in a negative manner is they are EXTREMELY pricey especially compared to when I had my senior pictures done BUT if cost is not an issue for you then this is the place to go. I didn't expect it to be as much as it was especially being told pricing for newborn session for package of prints and options ranges from 200-500$. So that was a little shocking at first to see for 20 pictures in a book was 700$ and for only 10 of the pictures on a flash drive was 900$. Had I known it would be that much I probably wouldn't have done it only bc having a newborn especially premie is already very expensive. I understand inflation and again it was only due to cost that will have me potentially look elsewhere for growth pictures of her- so if cost isn't a issue I would highly recommend this place for photography as nothing about the experience or how the pictures turned out could I speak in a negative manner about . Over priced especially for the quality you get. I have 2 more seniors coming up in next 6 years to capture momentous photos of, but I certainly won't be using peters again for sure. Save your money use a photography place where you'll still have funds left to go dorm shopping for your senior, or pay your bills, get gas you know basic stuff we hardworking Americans do all the time. My family's whole process of using this place was a complete disaster from the time we scheduled our session to receiving our photos, too many things to mention here honestly, just trust me use a different studio. photography studios are a dime a dozen, with many being affordable and amazing quality that I've experienced first hand, I only used this place for the first time because my senior/daughter asked if we could try since her school had used peters for their sports pictures, little did I know what I got myself into. My wife and I have gone to Peters on two occasions. The first time was when my son was about 2 and the most recent time was about a month ago right after my daughter turned 2. The photographers were amazing with our children. They were able to make them laugh, smile and cooperate throughout most of the shoot even though they were both tired. I opted to use this photography studio for my son's senior picture. They are not easy to schedule (no weekend hours, only open M-F 9am -5pm) for anyone with a full-time job. I fail to understand not even having some Saturday morning hours. In addition to a sitting fee ($50 -$100), they will charge you $85.00 for one digital image for the yearbook. We also took some family photos during our sitting time, but I was told I could not purchase any of other digital images. Instead, you are given the option to purchase very expensive prints ($106 for a 5x7 as an example). They will also make you schedule a second appointment to sit down with a salesperson to make any purchases...which throws you back into their ridiculous 9am -5pm hours; so you need to take some more time off work. I sent my college-aged daughter back out to their studio to purchase three additional photos (which cost over $330) and she was told it would take three weeks to get the prints ready...and if I wanted them mailed it would cost an additional $5. I waited three weeks, called to see if the prints were ready, and after some delay because they couldn't even find my order in the system...I was told that it really takes 4-6 weeks to get prints. Bottom line, unless you have a lot of time on your hands and lots of extra cash for overpriced photos, I would look elsewhere. I cannot believe that in the digital age this photographer doesn't offer a package for digital prints. The business model here is outdated - time to join us in the 21st century Peter's Photography. read more
