Ambiance: Because it's women only, the atmosphere is more conducive to working out than it usually is at co-ed fitness centers. Also, the electro music they play over the speakers rocks. Equipment: There's a decent variety in equipment (you'll find more strength equipment in the main gym). And, the equipment on the floor actually works. Fitness Classes: Except for the occasional flake (yes, a fitness instructor has failed to show for a scheduled class more than once in the month I've been a member), I've yet to have a bad fitness class experience. Front Restrooms: Restroom facilities & showers in the front of the gym are well-maintained. Pool: The indoor pool is heated perfectly, cleaned regularly and doesn't reek of chlorine. Price: They have a $20/month with no contract special going on. Just be forewarned - that doesn't include the sign up or processing fee... Still, it's cheaper than Gold's. CONS Back Restrooms: The showers and bathroom area for the racketball/pool section of the gym are disgusting, poorly maintained & often out of order. Front-desk Staff: It's hit-and-miss in terms of friendliness and hospitality here. Some are great -- others can't even muster a smile and will make you wait minutes for a locker key because they're too engaged in a conversation with another employee. Monitoring: The side/back door to the racketball courts and pool (located at the back of the women's gym) is never monitored. (It's also the only section of the women's gym that is co-ed and open on Sundays.) I wonder how many people use the facilities without a membership. ... Which leads me to paying for classes. It's an extra $10/month to take aerobic classes and another $10 if you want to do water fitness. Save yourself the $10-20. Instructors for neither check to make sure those in attendance have that as part of their membership. Parking: Because it shares parking with the main gym, parking is limited during high occupancy hours. Many members resort to blocking vehicles and parking in the dirt area behind the gyms.

Do not get a membership at this gym!…read more I informed the then "manager" I was prepaying one year for a membership and only one year, cause you know how gyms keep charging you for a membership cause eventually you will quit going but they don't want you to notice but they will keep charging. Guess what? I was charged after that one year and she wanted forms to be signed to quit. But I could have signed that form when I told that guy I'm only paying one year but he didn't give me that form. Used that member ship til that one year dude date. They could see it wasn't used and they wouldn't refund me the unused month. In addition I had to call like 3 times (one time they said a rep would call, second a left again name and number for a manager...) to speak to someone cause no one would call me back when I left a message abt the dilemma. The third time I got a GM - "Nina" and she informed me they are abt to charge me again. For a place that has an expensive membership you would think there is customer service If you do sign up, You can't use it at the other location unless you pay an additional fee. Besides my fee complaint. Good luck getting a machine or a parking space during "peak" times.
