HCF approaches every workout this way, and it gave me the motivation to get back into fitness in February 2016. I say "team" because just like a more traditional team, everyone in the gym is in it together as one unit. Instead of working out individually, we are all pushing ourselves and each other through the same workout and toward the same goal. That being said, each athlete is unique and has their own talents and strengths, as well as weaknesses, so when someone is struggling through something, everyone else comes around and encourages them until they complete it. The mindset through every workout is "we're not done until we're all done" and it builds and incredible sense of camaraderie that I have missed. Competing as a synchronized swimmer for twelve years, I learned to value and rely on my teammates. I learned that to be successful I had to be selfless and put the success of the team ahead of my own. It took hard work and dedication, and I have found that same drive again at HCF. It doesn't matter how fast or slow you are, it doesn't matter what weight you put on the bar, it doesn't matter if you collapse in a sweaty heap after the workout. What matters are the people next to you. I decided a gym membership didn't give me the push that I needed to improve my fitness. I was never going to get anywhere by pedaling on a recumbent bike watching food network and travel channel (however fantastic that sounds). Over the past 4-5 months with high intensity interval training, I've seen very noticeable improvements in my strength and stamina. Every training session is challenging, different, and fun. Jean Carlos is an extremely cool, supportive, knowledgeable, personable, and motivating personal trainer. He's there to keep you on track and to hold you accountable. It's evident that deep down he's actually interested in your improvement as a person and wants to be a part of that journey. I tried all 3 of the crossfit gyms in town with S&S Crossfit being the last place I tried. They were welcoming from the beginning and after 1 trial class I knew exactly where I was meant to be. I have been attending S&S Crossfit since April of 2013 and am so happy with my choice. I am never judged for my look or my crossfit abilities but am pushed to keep trying and give it 100%. The coaches are very friendly, knowledgeable and will always keep you safe. The 9:30, 10:30 classes definitely made you hate the place! You had moms laughing at the people who were not in shape and you were judge during the class. Had some one assault me with their vehicle and turned out she started working the front desk the next week. Wish equipment would be clean, or fixed. Equipment was sweated on and put up after used. Have tried other locations and they are amazing for anybody trying to stay/get healthy.

Crickets! They responded 2 weeks later saying sorry no refund. Pure CROOKS! I never used the paid month! I cancelled within 24 hours. Customers beware! There are better ways to make money than this. Training wasn't great either but I was trying to join for community and socializing. HORRIBLE COMPANY POLICIES! You can tell what is most important to them, it's not your fitness journey but your wallet!
