We drove to Fort Wayne hoping to watch good theatre. The Civic Theatre is part of a larger complex called Arts United center which has a philharmonic, art exhibits and other cultural venues. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lines in will call are practically non-existent. The lines in the ticket booth are not much larger. There are certainly some negatives 1) No valet parking. Parking is also a rather long walk from theatre. I am used to theaters with either valet parking or at worst a nearby parking lot. May not be a problem for me, but my mother is older and she does have problems walking long distances. Several other patrons were also in the same situation. The nearest parking garage is several blocks away. 2) the seats are narrow and a bit uncomfortable. The narrowness didn't bother me, but my brother is larger and it was a tight fit for him. Not a lot of cushion on the seat though 3) The decor is a bit spartan compared to other theaters I have been to. 4) No alcohol sold either before the play or during intermission. They do sell sodas/pop and small snacks. I still believe though that even with these negatives, it is worth coming. The play was entertaining and well acted. My mother loved her birthday gift. Whats better than that?

New to the area and really needed a root touch up and a haircut. Decided I wanted to stop using a…read morecoloring process which left me with a hard line of new growth every 4-5 weeks. After discussion with an advanced student and the supervisor educator stylist we decided to use foils and lighten everything to a silver, same color as my new growth. Then every 4-6 weeks that same process would be repeated until all hair was the same color. A quick hair trim and blow dry was included. I was very pleased with the outcome and that they were able to recommend a plan to transition to an all gray color down the road. Cosmetology school prices are seriously reasonable, no matter the budget you have. A full range of services is offered and they use top of the line quality Redken products. Definitely will be a regular here.

Two of which were facials, and one was a chemical peel preformed by Kaylynn L. After mentioning a little bit of my background, you would understand the relief I've felt when these appointments/products have tremendously made a difference on my face and my confidence. Not only have these products boosted my confidence, but Kaylynn has as well. In the past I have used many facial products and felt that none of them had made a change, but Kaylynn's products that she has recommended has changed my view entirely on facial care. She seems to know my facial type pretty well, and lessens my anxiety by walking me through each process step-by-step indicating this is truly her passion and she excels at it! My self esteem and I are so grateful to witness her progress at TPSA. She is truly amazing at what she does!! :)

Last night, we went to Copper Forge for the first time, and here are my thoughts…read more First, the place is very nice, and the drinks were definitely 10/10, no doubt! The food was okay for me. The prime ribeye was too fatty, but the grilled chicken skewers were yummy! Everyone, the bartenders and hosts was super nice and friendly, except for our waitress. We didn't know her name because she never introduced herself, and from the moment we sat down, she gave us that look. You know the "I don't like you" look? Yeah, I know that look. So, about halfway through, I gave her the same look right back. After she served our food, she gave us a thumbs-up , as if we couldn't speak English or something. Let me make this clear: Yes, we are Asian, but if we go to an American restaurant, we 100% know how to order our food, communicate, and respond to our servers. She also didn't check on us to see if everything was okay or if we needed anything until we were almost finished. Then she came over and asked, "You okay?" It's not like she was a quiet or shy person, either. She was happily chitchatting with the people dining next to us. I told my husband not to leave her a tip, but he's too nice, so of course, he still gave her one. I do hope the manager sees this review because I think the rest of the staff deserves recognition. Everyone else was wonderful! Overall, we will come back, but if she's working, I'll definitely request a different server.

We were invited to their soft opening and were thoroughly impressed with the menu. I would normally give a new place a few months to work out the kinks before I tried their food and service. I'm not doing that in this situation. The food was good and the staff seemed to be up to speed. We were able to drive all the dishes on their soft opening menu and enjoyed everything except the dessert course. They're set up for family accommodations in the main dining room and I was very impressed with the over 21 bar area in the back of the house. Can't wait for the opening on 7/27 as it's a 10 minute walk from our house!
