Stepping inside felt like a step back in time to about the "60's or 70's. So much of the original decor is included in the design of the restaurant including the old ice boxes and tin ceiling. The staff was very friendly, although our waiter seemed to have another task he was trying to finish so we didn't get much attention. We went for breakfast and ordered nothing special- straight off the menu. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food and the restaurant was not busy at all. That is what made the experience frustrating. Fortunately the food was really good. The sausage is homemade and delicious. The hash browns and eggs were cooked perfectly. They only take cash or checks so be prepared.

Pancakes were mediocre. Hash browns crispy on the outside. The servers seemed to enjoy sitting at the dining counter socializing, looking at their phones while not working- but they were friendly and I didn't think service was slow like others have written.

She remembered my name after only one time. I came back in for a second visit and she said, "Hey James!" It blew my mind (and I made it a major point to remember her name since she set the standard). I have tried several items so far and nothing has disappointed me yet. It's also got a super cool, eclectic vibe. Diane's heart is all about ministry.
