To start off, Bob and Jerry's was the most expensive of the estimates that I received to fully redo my roof. During the time I was receiving other estimates, their representatives stayed in contact with me and after a discussion offered a lower revised estimate using different materials. In this case, Tamko instead of GAF. What's interesting is that while I was getting estimates, this company was the only one who stayed in contact and even responded within a short period of time. The others, I never heard from again. You'd think they would've been more interested in business but that's just my thinking. Ultimately, I went with this company being told it would be a one day job. Sadly, it wound up being a day and a half. However, once they were done, they cleaned the area up and I have a new roof. It should be noted that this company had roofed the house more than 20 years ago and it held up quite well to several hurricanes. Hopefully, the new one will as well. I'm not giving the company 5 stars because honestly, how can one tell how good the job is until it's actually weathered some hurricanes and weather? But i will give it a 4 since the company showed a willingness to work with me and also sincere interest in doing the job. We've used Bob & Jerry's Roofing over the yrs 3x and are extremely satisfied with their professionalism, quality shingles, workmanship, fair pricing, and the 10 yr warranty they NOW offer (separate from the shingles manufacturers warranty), FREE of charge! We've never experienced communication issues with the company, in fact, they kept us informed about delivery, called us after delivery, sent a supervisor during and after completing the job, and either Bob or Jerry would do the final inspection after completion. Another reason I'd HIGHLY recommend B & J, is the FACT they stand behind their work. My husband asked to have extra sealant where the metal porch roof was attached to the house (it was a problem area). B&J didn't charge us extra for it however, the request wasn't standard procedure and the workers forgot to do it. I noticed a minor issue, called B&J, they came within a day to inspect & troubleshoot it and the next day the extra sealant was added.
