In today's competitive real estate market, it's rare to find a realtor who provides the level of service, dedication, and professionalism that Tammy consistently delivers. From locating the perfect property to negotiating an outstanding deal, she was with us every step of the way. She knew our taste so well, that in some cases she advised us during her preview, that a property was not up to our standards or liking, so not to waste our time. What truly sets Tammy apart is her commitment to her clients. She guided us through the entire process right up to closing and went above and beyond by helping secure packages that were delivered to our new home while we were out of state. That kind of personal attention and care is something you simply don't find every day. Tammy treats her clients like family and genuinely cares about making the experience as smooth and stress-free as possible. Her knowledge of the local market, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication make her an invaluable asset to Lake Life Realty. We are incredibly grateful for everything Tammy has done for our family and look forward to working with her again on future real estate transactions. If you're buying or selling a home in Oconee County, I cannot recommend Tammy McGinney highly enough. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our real estate needs. Thank you, Tammy, for another outstanding experience!

On our first exploratory trip, every discovery was wonderful. We accidentally found ourselves in the original Cliffs Community, The Cliffs of Keowee, and we loved the feeling of enjoying both the mountains and this magnificent lake. As we continued down Hwy. 133, we ventured onto Pine Grove Road into a section that is now The Reserve @ Lake Keowee. At the time there were lots priced in the $60,000 range. Gorgeous, absolutely. It was another full year before we would return to Lake Keowee. We had a wonderful agent and bought our first waterfront lot in Wynward Pointe. We moved into our waterfront home in April 2000 and still love our home and our neighborhood. We purchased a property in Keowee Key because we enjoy the amenities, social opportunities, and the people. In 2004, after almost 30 years as a Georgia licensed CPA, Patti partnered with Michele Davies and become the team "Patti & Michele". We were the top team on Lake Keowee for a number of years.Gary Cason, a native South Carolinian, was raised in Atlanta Ga. and retired from a successful venture as a Snap on Tools franchisee. Gary entered the real estate arena in 2002 as a licensed home inspector and joined Patti and Michele's team in Sept. 2005. The two of us enjoy the best jobs on Lake Keowee. While Cope Property Management founder, John Cope, who has a Business degree from Clemson University, originally managed it, we had no problems. However, things started to go downhill when John turned the control to the company over to his wife April on website is listes as "OWNER, BROKER IN CHARGE". After April (who also apparently goes by the pseudo name "Nikki", a lady never named nor pictured on Cope's website . . . more on this latter), took control, I have been locked out of my lake house without notice, four times in the past five years. Without notice to me, April Cope has had the keys changed to the main door twice (the house must be entered though two doors, 1. the patio door and 2. the house door). After I had tried the new key I was given on the patio door, I found that April had put a different lock on the second door! When I filed a second complaint, only then did April have their handyman change the lock on the inner door to match the key I was given to me for the outer door. Shortly after July 4th, 2021, my daughter (Kristy) called Cope Property Management, where Kathryn Powell, who works the front desk and has always been very cordial and helpful, told her that Nikki, who she identified as Cope's "Short Term Rental Agent", was the only one at the business who could block out the dates for the house on the rental computer. Kristen was then transferred to Nikki where Kristy identified herself as my daughter and made it clear she wanted to book the unrented house for the weekend of August 27-29 (She was going to have a group of 33 people at the house for one day (8-28). Kristy had catered a chef pulling a large gas grill driving from Greenville and invested in water equipment for a day of skiing. In all, she had invested close to $2,000.00 for this Saturday. Nikki told my daughter that she would book the house for her, block it off on their calendar. After checking Cope's public online booking calendar repeatedly over several weeks, Kristy noticed that Nikki never booked the house. I so called Nikki to find out what the problem was. Without any explanations as to why she never booked the house nor called my daughter back with an explanation, the dates suddenly appeared blocked off on their calendar. Finally, I thought we were all set for my daughter's big event; BIG MISTAKE!! When my daughter arrived on the morning of Saturday, the 28, she found that, without any notice and according to a witness, about four days prior to that Saturday, April Cope had their maintenance man again replace the key lock on the main house door, only this time with a keyless lock that only could be operated with either a finger print or a digital code without letting either me or my daughter know me the code. With these 33 people set to set to show up at 12:00 pm, my daughter was in a panic. After calling Cope's office in Seneca and getting no answer, I told my daughter how enter the house via the basement level which she did. However, opening the house door from the inside, she found that this digital lock couldn't be disabled with the door re-locking every time the door closed. Kristy, upset and angry, called me again. I drove over to the lake house, removed this digital lock and took it to Cope's Seneca office on Monday. I handed it to Kathryn and asked her what the code was? When she checked her computer, she said there was no code on file and she she knew nothing about this new digital lock being installed. I told her this was totally unacceptable! She said she would let Nikki know. On Thursday, Nov. 2, for the fourth time, Cope had their handyman installed a second digital lock, but this one could be also opened with a key. When I texted Nikki for a key, Nikki started texting me back, then suddenly it was April who responded telling me that Nikki had to quickly leave. April made it clear that I would not be getting a key, but like all Cope renters, I'd only be given a changeable code. When I demanded a key, April texted me back stating that she was only going to deal with one of the lake house members. When I told her that without a written contract, she had no legal authority to make this decision. April responded she had enough of, "this extra nonsense going on right now." and in two days, our lake house was removed from their website with the house being totally dropped when the last renter under Cope's contract left. Conclusion: Under April Cope, I encountered total confusion going on at this business. April Cope needs to understand basic business law and not make a verbal contact with only one property owner totally bypassing the other two. Moreover, be it John Cope or now April Cope, legally, all LLC members / owners of this lake house should have been given a copy of Cope Property Management's managing contract signed by all the owners with correct keys and kept up to date.

We made numerous complaints about things that needed to be fixed & only one thing (the refrigerator) was actually fixed & that was 3 days later. We had to store food in our neighbors' refrigerators until then. The other things were that the front door didn't latch & had to be dead bolted just to keep it closed & the sump pump in the basement didn't work. The sump pump malfunction lead to flooding which lead to mold. Our child got very sick & went through about $10,000 worth of testing & medical appointments before they discovered that the mold was making her sick. At this point & after numerous complaints that were ignored, we asked to be let out of the lease or have the problem fixed. The owner of the company refused to do either, even after I told her how sick my child was. We left anyway & had to make several requests to have our deposit returned. They reluctantly returned half of it & implied that they could take us to court for breaking the lease. Their website home page boasts that they found their business on ethics, however, they are only interested in making a buck.

I cannot speak to how he conducts himself as a sales broker, and maybe Clardy is not aware of the type of person they have working for them, but I hope my recent experience gives you insight into the type of man that Clardy has in their employ. Steven returned my security deposit from a lease I terminated, 30 days after termination, with several hundred dollars deducted and no itemization for those deductions. This is against the law in South Carolina, When called and informed that he had broken the law and needed to return our money, this man claimed he was being harassed and to leave him alone. I said he could return the money or get sued. He said PLEASE SUE ME. That he has a lawyer and would never see the inside of a courthouse anyhow so BRING IT. I said I would and hung up. Minutes later I get a text - Hey! Can we talk and resolve this? I really just needed some time to review the information! Clearly this man knew he was about to lose at least triple the amount he withheld and was doing damage control. AFTER TELLING ME TO PLEASE SUE HIM! I said he could Venmo or wire me the money that day or he would indeed be sued. No convo required. And lo and behold he returned the money, but not before sharing an "invoice" for the deductions he "decided to overlook upon review." $250.00 for paint touch ups - we had already done that before moving out. And $150.00 for burnt out lightbulbs (normal wear and tear landlords have to cover), replacing.a bathtub drain plug (that was already broken when we moved in), and a new air filter (that was replaced when we moved out and also wear and tear). But look at those dollar amounts!!! So even the bill was fraudulent. Again, never worked with him as a broker. But He is clearly lacking in ethics and is a nightmare of a human being to deal with. People are rarely unethical and engaged in criminal behavior in one area of their life or profession and then are wonderful human beings in another. Engage with him at your own risk.
