I am mildly lactose intolerant and this tea was not worth what's to come...The tea literally tasted like shaken up blue top milk with an addition of pearls... the rockmelon was barely there and was waY to subtle for me. Disappointed but ratios are everything so I hope Pa Tea really step their rockmelon game up.

Jels is a small bubble tea spot inside the Westfield shopping mall. We dropped by on a Wednesday evening (around 6:00pm). The menu is pretty typical with bubble tea, snow jelly, ice slushy, fruity soda, milkshakes, fruit smoothies, cool frappe, yogo cooling (yoghurt), lemon fig jelly and grass jelly drinks. - Jels red (traditional) (#1) ($5.50 NZD small) - we got this with grass jelly instead of tapioca pearls. This drink is their version of milk tea. Didn't have much milk tea flavour; weak, meagre and overpriced. One of those typical shopping mall spots. Standard, nothing special BBT.

This Teasme location is one out of 3 in Christchurch. I had the Sweet talk green milk tea, which is like a green milk tea except that they use brown sugar as the sweetener instead of the usual. On our visit, we tried the Charlie's Choccy Cake, which is a hot chocolate cake with chocolate ganache with a scoop of ice cream of your choice and a dab of coconut yogurt. It was wonderful, and I'm glad we split it. It would have been too rich for one. It was less than $10 NZD per person, so it was well worth it. I hope we have the chance to try it again.
