Ugh Too many stories about how the owner treats employees. They were expecting a high school student to skip school because they needed a shift covered. I went here with a big group Thursday night and had a good time. It was my first time at Bobby's and I'm glad I came when I did because the place became packed. I think they were definitely short staff because our waitress seemed extremely busy and did not get a chance to check up on us often (again totally think it was because they were short staffed). It was a little strange when she argued with me when I told her our order was wrong? The food was very good! The wait time was about average and the food came out hot. All the pizzas, apps, and wings that we ordered were very good. The only thing I will say was not good was the cocktail drinks. I would recommend sticking to the beer and wine list. read more

I've had this pizza before and it was good. I decided to get it and bring it home for my family. On a normal night my kids gobble pizza up, tonight not so much. We got it tonight and it wasn't good. The taste was off, like the dough was sour. We ordered a cheese and meaty. The last time I had it the pizza it was loaded with meats this time not so much. Disappointed with the food all around this time. Also had an order of the cheese bread, not anything special, pizza dough with cheese on it. Was a cool place. The food was good. The garlic bread was really pizza dough, but it still tasted good. The dipping sauce for tasted like a tomato bisque soup... but it worked. They were really busy..always a great sign. But I appreciate that they were honest about the wait for the food. Setting expectations really helped. The wait wasn't that bad afterall. Pepperoni and sausage with an icy lemonade and bottle Coke was the order. You pay after if eating in. Pie brought out in around 10 minutes. Only complaint was not enough napkins which was quickly resolved by asking. Love they provide real plates and silverware. Order paid at table on a machine which allows for tipping. 4.5 rounding up. I was tempted to try the birria pizza but couldn't handle any food because of the generous cake portions in the sister bakery next door. Friendly service and a nice space in towers mall. On a windy and rainy day, my friend and I decided to go try out this well known restaurant located at Towers Shopping Center. The place was clean and decorated with mixed artworks and a wall filled with a variety of skate boards. It was a relaxed and comfortable ambiance and we were quickly warmly greeted by a waiter as soon as we got there, who soon gave us the menu and took our drink and food order. On this my first time here I thought it appropriate to order the Pizza Flight: 3 "pizzettes" from their menu. I ordered this week's special "the Aloha" with pineapple, bacon, and ham; the Cuban with pork, ham, cheese, and mustard; and the Bacon Blue with bacon, blue cheese, and sweet balsamic onions. My friend ordered the same as my first two and the Mushroom Goat Cheese Arugula with mushrooms, Goat Cheese, and arugula. Just by the variety of items on this dish alone, you can imagine the wonderful menu this restaurant has. To drink I ordered a Cherry Coke. The order arrived in a reasonable time but my Bacon Blue was delayed because there was something that went wrong with the first one. The waiter apologized for this and brought it when the remake was ready. The crust was fresh and soft and out of the ordinary pizzas. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful, and the cheese was soft and very tasty. There were however burnt areas on the pizzas that interfered somewhat with their otherwise perfection. The service was outstanding and our waiter made sure to come by several times and chatted with us very graciously. I would recommend this place to all Pizza lovers out there; especially when you're in the mood for an extraordinary and unique taste pizzas, in a relaxed ambiance, with a friendly and hospitable service. read more

Pretty good beer selection on tap as well at bottle. The wings were juicy, tasted good, not too overpowering garlic or Parmesan. Hawaiian Pizza comes with ham, pineapple, pickled onions and jalapenos. Toppings were all fresh, cheese was melty, jalapenos still had the seeds so definitely spicy. My bestie and I went out to Roanoke for a few days and I had seen a glowing review by J David H. conveniently before our trip, so I already knew where we were going for our pizza fix. After a long drive, we were starving, so we unpacked at our lodging and went straight here. I love the theme of the place. The logo is an anarchist symbol with a slice of pizza over the A. I asked the guy taking our order about the logo, and turns out we were speaking to the owner himself - he said he had designed it in thought of anarchy against corporate pizza places because they suck. Awesome lol. It was really cute and a bakeshop called Bubblecake is conveniently attached to the pizza place. I ordered a medium cheese pizza w/ balsamic onions. My friend got a medium cheese as well but with pineapple. We both got ranch and a cheesy garlic bread to share. Everything was delicious. I'd never tried balsamic onions, but they went perfect on the pizza. They were sweet and acidic. The pizza was fantastic from the crust to the cheese. I ordered a medium because a couple review said the pizzas are small in size, but it was more than enough for me. I ate all but two slices. My friend ate just as much of hers. We really enjoyed the cheesy bread as well. Bubbly, crispy, with layers of melty cheese. I didn't try the vodka sauce because I'm a ranch girl, but my bestie said it was great. We also wanted dessert from the bakeshop but didn't realize they closed up earlier than the pizza place (It was about 8pm) and the owner ran and got us a mini cheesecake before the bakeshop workers left. We didn't insist or anything, he offered, or else we would've just found a place for ice cream. The service is definitely A1, he was very attentive throughout our meal as well. When I first heard about this restaurant and bar, I pictured another copy and paste greasy pizza shop, but I was wrong. Their pizza is leagues above standard pizza. Their crust alone is light and delicious. For my pizza, I ordered the Double Pepperoni, which featured perfectly crisped pepperonis, which is just how I like them. The sauce was clearly homemade with that robust-tomato and red-wine savory flavor that really makes it. My wife and I also ordered the Straight up Buffalo flavored wings, and the ranch alone was worth it. Their ranch is a creamy and delicious house-made dressing. As for the actual wings, the sauce was a perfectly balanced cayenne pepper hot sauce and butter blend coating crispy fried chicken wings. Lastly, the service was superb. The waitress regularly checked on us and the bartender/manager came to our table at the end of our meal to make sure everything was enjoyable. When my order is right 10/10. Lately it's been right more than it's been wrong but for a while there there was always something missing or bad or wrong BUT again it's been better. I say all this too in case you ran into these problems to go ahead and give them another chance. I always make my own and the pizza tastes GREAT. Also they've been tweaking their homemade ranch and let me tell you now, go ahead and buy an extra one. It's that good. :) *** edit from 4 to 2. I just tried to make an online order 1/30/2023 and apparently now you have to pay $1-$2.50 FOR EACH TOPPING on their make your own pizzas!! As someone who orders often I guess I won't be so often anymore to pay an extra $4 for my pizza. Meanwhile you can ordered their own "meataly" medium for $15 it would be $20 to make it yourself... sadly there's no pizza they make with my usual order so this only effects you if you make your own.. read more

Stopped in here for a quick date night dinner last night. The business is located in a strip mall and shares it's open floor plan with a cupcake/dessert business. They have several tables and were quite busy with both dine and carry out orders. They also have bar seating. Despite being busy, we were promptly greeted and seated. The server (who I think was also the owner) was super helpful and the entire staff worked together well to provide top notch service. We started with a house salad with the house balsamic and ranch. Both salad dressings are made in house and were great. The pickled onions on the salad were a nice touch. We also ordered a large Hawaiian pizza minus jalapeños. The pizza was hot and cheesy like their sign says and a great marriage of flavors, esp. since it comes as a white style pizza (no red sauce). Again, the pickled onions were a nice touch. They bring the card reader to your table so you can swipe and leave. Great meal with great service. Definitely recommend it for a quick date night meal, family dinner, or if just picking up pizza for home. read more

I've never tasted a better pizza in Roanoke or anywhere else for that matter. I'm not a wine connoisseur but my boyfriend is and he found the wine to be reasonably priced and an unbelievable find for a pizza restaurant. It was so good, we shared a bottle (I had some, too!). Everyone in the restaurant was welcoming and we'll definitely be going back for more. I wish you could make online reservations since I'm taking my office there next Wednesday and want to be sure they have a table for 6 people available! Good taste, nice outside seating, and very pleasant staff. Overall good experience on a Friday evening. Hadn't been here before, and even though I prepped by looking at the menu online, it was a chaotic ordering process. The inside was loud (a lot of patrons and loud music) making it hard to discuss options with my wife. None of the pizza options suited us, so we finally decided on a tried and true mushroom and sausage. When asked about size options, the employee gave a sarcastic "Like any other pizza place, small medium and large." Almost walked out, but I stuck with it and he must have seen the look on my face and gave me a concrete description of each (4,6 and 8 slices). We got a large. The sidewalk seating was nice, in the shade on a hot night making it cool. The constant traffic was not noisy and conversation was easy. Our drinks arrived and soon after our pie. At first glance the pizza did not look appetizing. A very red sauce, the sausage and mushrooms were not evenly distributed and looked burnt, and there did not appear to be much cheese. A lot of visible oil/grease on the top. When we slid the first slices onto the plate, the dough was limp and very greasy making it impossible to pick up. We used a fork for the first few bites- and discovered that the dough was spread too thin in the center and that allowed the grease to leak through. The further out toward the edge, the stiffer the dough became and the slice could be folded. The taste was very good. The sauce had a bite but wasn't spicy, the dough was sweet without being sugary. The pie was over cooked, melting the cheese into grease and blackening the toppings, but the taste was still evident. It didn't taste like charcoal and the dough wasn't burnt. Staff was very attentive even though we were outside, and very friendly. Value was good, about the same as other pizza places. I will go back and keep it as a #2 option to my favorite pizza place. Good taste, good staff, good service, good atmosphere. Nice job! read more
