If you want your child to have a proper music education, send them anywhere else. You would probably be better watching YouTube tutorials. I think the issues stem from the top down. They are nickel and diming everyone, and the quality of work isn't worth the price. I can't tell you how many teachers my kid has had, and no they don't tell you. My child has gotten attached to three teachers only for them to never return. Front desk staff also turns over far too often. I've heard anecdotally from other parents that they do not treat their staff properly. I think the turnover rate speaks for itself. And the replacement teachers are young, clueless, and don't know their right hand from their left. Issues of racism and ableism are also an open secret. But I can't put up with this any longer. I have heard of multiple instances from parents about mistreatment or black and autistic children (and their families). I know the front desk refused to look a black mother in the eye. Anyway, I pulled my child out several weeks ago. I reccomend any parent looking for lessons to go anywhere else.

I was offered free tickets and had no idea what to expect, the only reason I didn't walk out was to see what the hell else they could possibly do next to offend the audience. I was also hoping for some kind of redemption, to no avail. The cast was great but I have to wonder why they would agree to take the roles after reading the script. If you have any respect for women or insight into how damaging misogynistic humor is to our culture, pass on this production. Slow Burn, you can do better.

I couldn't get over how excellent the actors were - really strong voices. Besides the voices - the production was so well staged. The set is not a simple one, on several levels - and it worked so well. This is a really exuberant production - alot of movement , lighting changes, and ensemble singing. For "Rent" lovers and for anyone who has never seen "Rent" - I'd recommend getting tickets right now. It's a performance that's not to be missed. Rent has a wonderful score, I was looking forward to hearing the songs again - and I was thrilled with every single song. . .and the musical numbers are so enhanced by a live orchestra! The talent was incredible both from the tap dancers and the actors on this vastly smaller venue in this residential area of Delray Beach directly on Lake Ida. From what I can see, everyone in the audience was clapping and cheering, and standing on their feet for this production. It's amazing how the small Theatre can attract such great talent and put on an amazing show right here in our little town. I love coming to Delray Beach Playhouse. I've seen several shows here and they have all been wonderful. The Theatre is very comfortable for the most part and parking is easy, and free in their private lot.

I recently attended the Playwrights' Horizon event and was so pleasantly surprised by the…read moreexperience. I was already familiar with two of the playwrights, which made it even more enjoyable. The evening featured several short plays, each about 15 minutes long, with a 20-minute intermission in between. After the performances, the playwrights came on stage for a Q&A session, which gave the audience a chance to hear about their creative process and ask questions. It was a wonderful addition to the evening. I'm usually away this time of year, so this was my first opportunity to attend, and I'm so glad I did. The tickets were also very reasonably priced, making it an excellent value for a night of live theater. I hope to make this an annual tradition and will definitely be back next year!
