I originally started going there because of their sliding scale program after relocating from California and trying to find an affordable and healing place to manage my migraines and stress. For a while, I believed I had found a compassionate environment. A couple of years ago, I had a very upsetting experience with Julie Shen. During an appointment she asked what I wanted treated and I mentioned stress relief and a "reset" (a term I believed she had previously used). She abruptly became dismissive, denied ever saying that, spoke to me in a rude tone, and ultimately refused to treat me. I left in tears. Despite how hurt I felt, I chose not to leave a negative review because I respected the clinic. Meredith Vorath was aware of this situation and she was actually the one who suggested I switch providers. After that I began seeing Sara, who has been nothing but kind, ethical, professional, and truly passionate about her work. I never had any issues with Sara and always felt respected and cared for as a patient. Recently, while suffering from a severe migraine, I scheduled the first available appointment simply because I was in pain. To be completely honest, I had forgotten about the incident from two years ago and was just trying to get relief. Instead of care, I received a message that Julie would not treat me, followed by an email stating my patient rights had been revoked entirely. What hurt the most was the threatening tone stating that authorities would be called if I showed up. This was extremely distressing considering I had done nothing wrong except try to seek treatment for migraine pain. I immediately tried to reach Meredith to understand what I had supposedly done. I left two voicemails and sent multiple emails asking for a simple explanation. I never received a response. Being ignored like I never existed after being a patient there was incredibly painful. What makes this situation even more confusing is that Julie and I had previously been on friendly terms and had even shared meals outside of the clinic. The sudden escalation without communication feels unfair and unnecessary. I truly believed this was a compassionate healing space. I especially believed Meredith was a fair and understanding leader based on past interactions. Being disregarded without even a conversation changed my entire impression. Patients deserve communication, fairness, and compassion -- especially when they are simply seeking help for pain. I hope management reflects on how situations like this are handled so no other patient experiences this kind of emotional distress.

Dr. Tong has done acupuncture for my 11 lines in between my eyebrows and it is making me feel so much better about how it looks! He has given me helpful advice on what to eat to improve and build my blood. I also appreciate how well run the clinic is, there is almost never a wait, and staff is pleasant. They take insurance! I had 1st round of stemmies 2 weeks ago today and had 2nd round of stemmies 5 days ago. I knew my bad cells were at war the new stemmies and you have to give it a bit of time. sunday ... pain all over when i woke in the morning but as the day went on i was feeling less and less pain. monday - NO PAIN - the only thing i still had was inflammation in fingers and my fingers were stiff and wrists and the pins and needles in both hands still there. i went to tennis and cried 2x bc i couldn't believe i could lift my racket and swing ! which i havent done in 5 weeks and i didnt have the control i would like but i was accelerating and had some really good serves which my coach and i couldn't believe. and i was hitting hard. i woke up today, tuesday. IF i have any residual or spotty pain that pops up by end of 3 weeks, i want another dose. i need more good guys to kill the bad guys in my cells. then when the stemmis are victorious i need to sit w u and discuss a REAL PLAN going forward. every 3 months I get a 4ml dose OR we discuss other options and combining the Rheo with the new one u used on Saturday- whatever we choose moving forward we have to stay true to the schedule so my body can build up the powerful stemmies and this frightening enemy NEVER has a chance of invading my body again.
