I was worried that there wouldn't be any new exhibits but I was surprised and happy to find the opposite to be true. They have definitely expanded and updated since my last visit. If you enjoy true crime and/or history this is a great spot to visit. On the crime side of things they have a wide range of crimes-not just serial killers or murder. (They do have a Ted Bundy VW beetle and 2 John Wayne Gacy clown costumes on display). They also have areas for financial crimes, etc. History wise they start off in medieval era, then the Wild West, mafia to present day. Nice exhibit on 911. Interactive exhibits too, like DUI and autopsy. Well worth the price of admission to me. Easily a couple hours of stuff to do. Especially nice on a rainy day!

So this becomes a 1.5-2 hour engagement. It can be dark in areas, so if you're the owner of old eyes. Break out the iPhone flashlight. The rooms are designed to be progressive thru the years (the Middle Ages were messed up!!!). So the pacing is well thought. We went in the off season and it wasn't crowded. I could see during the season, it could be a challenge. Lots of middle aged women that listen to "those podcasts". So husbands be wary when wives start nodding at one another. A great place to go on a "weather" day. As a side note, the staff made a point of stating that all but four display items were authentic and not recreations.

The Salt and Pepper Shaker Museum in Gatlinburg is one of those places that makes you say, "Wait,…read morewhat?"--and then you leave absolutely glad you stopped. This quirky little gem houses more than 20,000 pairs of salt and pepper shakers from all over the world, and honestly, it's way more fascinating than you'd ever expect. Each aisle is packed with shelves full of creativity, history, and humor. You'll see everything from elegant vintage glass shakers to fun novelty designs shaped like animals, cars, and even famous landmarks. The sheer variety is jaw-dropping, and it quickly turns into a scavenger hunt as you try to spot the most unusual set. It's the kind of place where kids, adults, and even skeptics end up grinning ear to ear. What I love most is how approachable it is. Admission is super affordable, the atmosphere is lighthearted, and it doesn't take hours to enjoy--though you might find yourself staying longer than planned because there's so much to see. The owners clearly have a passion for collecting and storytelling, which makes the experience even better. If you're in Gatlinburg and want a fun, affordable, and unforgettable stop, this museum is a must-see. https://linktr.ee/reessroots

From the moment you arrive and see the massive ship replica, you can tell this is something special. The exterior alone is stunning and immediately sets the tone for what's inside. As soon as you walk in, you're given a boarding pass with the name of a real passenger or crew member, which adds a deeply personal and immersive element to the visit. Throughout the museum, you follow their journey, and by the end, you find out their fate--it's a powerful and emotional touch that really connects you to the history. The exhibits are extremely well done and very interactive. You're not just looking at displays--you're experiencing them. From touching a real iceberg to feeling the sloping decks that simulate the ship's final moments, everything is designed to help you understand what it was like on board. The attention to detail is incredible, with beautifully recreated rooms like the Grand Staircase that make you feel like you've stepped back in time. The museum does an amazing job of balancing education and emotion. There's so much history to learn, with real artifacts, detailed information, and stories about passengers and crew that bring everything to life. It's clear that a lot of care and respect went into telling the story of Titanic in a meaningful way. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate, which made the experience even better. The entire facility was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, allowing you to take your time and fully enjoy each part of the museum. Overall, this is an unforgettable experience that goes far beyond a typical museum visit. Whether you're a Titanic enthusiast or just looking for something unique and meaningful to do, this is an absolute must-visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone--definitely a five-star experience.

The employee told me no because I needed to stop for a picture. I told her I didn't want a picture and just wanted to get through the entrance, but she still insisted I walk the entire queue. I found that pretty frustrating. As you make your way through, there are historical artifacts and information displays, which were interesting. The bigger issue came when I needed to use the elevator. I told an employee that I couldn't do stairs, and his first response was to tell me to take them anyway. After explaining again that I needed the elevator, I stood there for several minutes before he finally moved the rope and let me on. He then told me the elevator only went to the second floor, which left me wondering what was on the third floor. For $40 per person, I honestly felt this attraction was overpriced. One of the more memorable exhibits on the second floor was a display where you could put your hand in 28-degree water to experience how cold the water felt for those who ended up in it. Other than that, I didn't feel like the experience justified the cost.

With plenty of children around me clearly enjoy enjoying every second while in this aquarium, it's also clear that the adults and parents had something they could enjoy as well! The amount of species were really impressive! I certainly walked away learning a lot about the limitless life in our oceans- from favorite species like clown fish to unique/ "not so frequently seen" species like cool sea dragons that resemble floating kelp. We were able to see the entirety of the aquarium in about two hours, and the layout of the aquarium is great with a clear path to make it all the way through. Honorable mention to the awesome saw sharks. I actually don't know if that's their actual name, but there're nose kind of resembles a saw and they are so cool during the automated walkway through the tunnel of sharks and fish. It was so bizarre to just look up and see huge sharks right above me!! I was also really impressed with the amount of space these animals have. I know that zoos and aquariums can get a bad rep, but these animals really do seem very taken care of and happy in a simulated natural environment. I like how they included the water treatment room as a part that people can see because obviously these animals require very strict water treatment plans in order to keep them thriving. The penguin station was also one of our favorites!!! It was so cool to be able to crawl through a tube "into" their enclosure in a dome like clear glass and be surrounded by penguins!!! You can read the names on their flipper bands to tell them apart, and you can really get up close to see the differences in their beaks or features. I thought that was so cool. I liked the amount of cool snacks and beverages available too! I got a frozen peach lemonade that was so yummy. We were here during off peak time, but it was still very busy. It's a very popular attraction. I know they also offer some packages to if you're coming with family or friends and you'd like to do more than one Ripley related experience you can buy a pack at a discount at the teller. I didn't take many pictures because I was trying to live in the moment--and also because I was too busy dodging people who apparently trained for this event at the "Cutting in Line Olympics (my kid came up with that analogy.) This place was packed. I mean Black Friday at the Best Buy packed. Half the time I couldn't even see the tanks because someone's unk decided the best viewing angle was directly in front of my face. Patience was not the theme of the day. Luckily for him I'm not only patient but handsome. But then... the shark tunnel appeared like a gift from the aquarium gods. We hopped onto a slow-moving convey like a lazy river at a Vegas hotel, for people who don't want to walk. Honestly, I wish the entire building worked this way. Zero chaos. Zero pushing. Just vibes and sharks gliding over your head like "Come on in the waters fine" The stingrays were another highlight--majestic, chill, and many different sizes. Crowds aside,(but not really) those two moments made the visit worth it. If you go, bring patience, comfortable shoes, and maybe a bullhorn to get people's attention. But once you hit the sharks, it will be smooth sailing. FYI I will never go again but it was pretty cool in general..

A warning to folks who get vertigo, the bridge is high and in the middle, it's glass bottomed. Very cool for those who don't have a fear of heights, but I did see a couple people struggling once they got to the glass bottom portion. I enjoyed every step. Once at the top, we grabbed a couple of beers and sat in Adirondacks overlooking the valley below. We could have hung out taking in the views all afternoon (and pretty much did). We loved our experience here. It was early spring so it wasn't overly busy but the weather was pitch perfect (80s with a breeze and low humidity--yes, please). Get to it!

Castle of chaos can be purchased as its own separate event but is usually bundled up with a 4 way attraction event with Hollywood wax museum, Hannah' mirror maze and the haunted house called "outbreak". The wax museum is in its own exterior building and at the rear of the parking lot is a second exterior building that is a castle. Inside the castle you will find the other 3 attractions. After visiting the Gatlinburg/Sevierville/pigeon forge areas I do feel this 4 attraction pass is the best bundled tourist attraction in all 3 towns. The castle of chaos has two theatre rooms along with two adventure or show types. On our visit we chose between carnival which is a creepy clown attraction or Los banditios which is a robot attraction. We had actually done the carnival attraction at a Destin Florida tourist spot so we all chose Los banditos. Like most 7d attractions you wear 3d goggles, have a hand held gun for shooting the "enemies" to see who scores the highest (I won!). Your stationary seat will move up and down and sideways as you go through the adventure. Overall while most 7d tourists traps are pricey but fun this one the blow is a little lessen since you can get it with that 4 ticket attraction. The whole experience takes probably 5-10 minutes. Between the two rides offered they both have there advantages and disadvantages. I prefer carnival but I enjoy creep and scare factors. So younger or more frightened folks would probably prefer Los banditos.

If you've ever been to one of these before (and we have) you've been to them all. It's about 5 minutes of giggling while you bump into mirrors trying to find your way out, with colorful archways and black lights guiding your way. Not very big at all, and not very challenging. As we had young children with us, we skipped the zombie area (? Can't speak on it) and instead hit up both of the little 3-D shoot-em-up video game/films. (If you do the zombie walk, you only choose one of these) The first one we went on was scary clown themed, and had I known just how scary, I would have skipped it. (My 4 year-old was a bit traumatized). The other one, where you shoot at evil robots in the Wild West(!) was much better, not only because it wasn't too scary for little ones, but because it was smoother and less headache inducing than the other. It was probably my favorite experience of the three, but not worth the price of admission unless you got the discount pass for the wax museum and you've got time to kill.

The majority of the attractions are not worth the money spent, but Hollywood Star Cars is worth every penny. It's one of the best places to check out! My daughter and I had a blast here! Whoever is in charge of obtaining the stars cars and organizing how they are displayed in this building, has done an incredible job! It was jam packed of so many to view, and they were so easy to recognize. They were displayed in settings where they were used in TV shows or movies. They also had the stars pictures and details about them, when they displayed their individual cars. It's such a cool feeling to be near a vehicle that stars have actually driven. It's the closest I'll ever get to them, some deceased, like Elvis Presley. It also makes me happy that these vehicles have been preserved for museum purposes, instead of being destroyed. Anyway, if you're trying to choose which place to go to, I would certainly choose this place. I plan to go again, because they said they switch the cars out pretty often. Young and older people will enjoy it, and everyone can relate to the cars displayed. I related more to the ones that were the older stars, and the cars that were used in the older movies and tv shows. But, my daughter related to the old and new. She's an "old soul," because she watches shows and listens to music that her father and I grew up with, but she also stays abreast of all the modern stuff. So, she enjoyed it, even more than I did.
