I signed up for an annual gym membership subscription service with Bodifi on Sep. 22, 2025 for $1,017.47. I cancelled the service Oct. 1, 2025 because we moved to California and could no longer use the membership. They told me that in order to cancel, I had to come in person and talk to the manager, and I told them I was out of state and I couldn't do that. They said they couldn't refund me anything regardless. They refused on the phone to get me to a manager, Beki Bird. I offered to pay for the service that I did use at the normal rate and to be refunded the difference. They said no. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and got the money back. Later, I noticed a charge from them for $86.49 on December 5, 2025, and another Jan 5, 2025. I somehow was on another subscription plan that I did not agree to or authorize. I reached out to the manager Beki, and she said to call their contracted payment processor Paramount Acceptance. Paramount told me I have a monthly membership for $86.49 per month and that I also have $217.98 due. I never signed up for a monthly membership and so I told them that and to send me written confirmation of me doing so to prove it. I don't have any written record either electronic or paper of my original annual contract agreement, or of any confirmation of monthly subscription plan, payments due, invoices paid, etc. Nothing is documented. I researched FTC consumer protection laws and they have violated those laws. I am filing this complaint for both Bodifi and Paramount Acceptance with the BBB, the FTC, and the State of Idaho. read more

**EDIT: WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN FROM A COMPANY. Stay away. Absolute fraud of a business. Will never send anyone their way and will always speak nothing but negative things about them. Stay as far away as you can. They will continue charging you even after you follow their cancellation policy. They're extremely quick to say "oh but look at the smallest portion of the contract you signed, yes in the corner here in small print is where it states the policy." I have been a member for quite some time now in Idaho Falls and I was recently invited to visit the Rexburg location and I highly recommend this gym for several reasons. The current management and staff are great to work with including the district manager. The staff is attentive to members needs and requests. The gym is kept clean and equipment maintained. The equipment has a full range of both free weights and machines. It has a room for cardio and training as well as cardio equipment on the main floor. There is a spa/wellness area, and an area for your kids to be entertained while you workout. I have several years experience as a business auditor and mystery shopper for large corporations. From the front desk staff to the class instructors to the management, everyone is kind, caring and very welcoming. You're always greeted with a smile when you walk in. The classes are outstanding. The instruction is extremely helpful and the classes are geared to whatever level of fitness you might be. The instructors take time to explain how to adjust your workout according to your specific needs. We LOVE this place! We have belonged to several gyms in the different areas we have lived, and truly this one is topnotch. As business owners ourselves, my husband and I understand the challenges of running a quality business and keeping customers happy. Bodifi in Rexburg has nailed it. Not sure why there are some negative reviews. Our experience has been nothing but extremely positive. I would encourage others who may be questioning the quality of this gym to give the management an opportunity to solve whatever your issue may be rather than leaving a negative review. Don't sign on with this gym. Go on campus or Anytime Fitness. Canceling your membership is the most grueling process. You have to send a hand written letter like it's the 70's haha. Then even when you send one, they always claim that they never got it so will continue charging you. This place is $38 a month after your one year contract when it used to be $22. Raised the price on us with no notice whatsoever. read more

This gym is the worst gym to deal with! We have attempted to cancel the month to month membership for months. Their billing company continues to charge us. We have sent a second cancellation request and we are being told a balance is due and that they will continue to charge us until the balance is paid. We have made a claim with the BBB and the Attorney General. DO NOT SIGN A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS COMPANY!! They are in the business to scam young students!!!! read more

1)This gym has the worst cancellation policy of which I've ever heard. You have to send a letter through the mail to a company in Utah to cancel. It takes at least three weeks, and if you call the company, they will not answer. So, you have to just hope and pray that you can trust they'll do their job right. 2) Th gym doesn't keep accurate records of their members. When we signed up, the worker told us there was no contract for the Platinum membership. Recently, we saw online it, in fact, has a 12-month contract. We called in today for information on cancelling our memberships because we did NOT want a 12-month contract. Today, the worker helping us tried to base our membership status and contract length on memory. We ONLY got a membership because they were offering us a no-contract membership, but they won't stand by their word. This is terribly dishonest and horrible customer service. My wife and I do NOT recommend Bodifi. read more

To begin, the gym is a great gym, with great equipment and a good atmosphere. I spent many training hours in Bodifi, both in Rexburg and in Idaho Falls. The gym itself is not the problem. It's probably the best around, especially in Rexburg. However, the contract is abysmal. Like others have said, they do not make it easy to cancel your membership. They falsely advertise on their building, "No Commitment, No kidding." This is an outright lie. Not only are you stuck in an annual subscription, but you are required to mail in a cancellation letter to their billing company at least a month in advance of cancelling in order to keep them from charging you for an extra month. On top of this is your buyout fee if you don't cancel before your annual contract renewal. Honestly, this a big cash grab by a money hungry company. When I signed up, employees of Bodifi gave me the impression that I could cancel, or freeze my membership at anytime with no hassle. They lied. It has been a huge hassle trying to cancel my membership. Though the gym is nice with great amenities, avoid this business like the plague, unless your prepared for an arduous cancelation process and don't mind being bilked. read more

The equipment is clean and well maintained. It is popular for a reason yet their is plenty of equipment so you do not have to wait. Highly recommend Bodifi. read more

they have a terrible cancelling process & no information is given on the website about when i need to cancel by & no workers told me i needed to cancel a month in advance to not be charged again. no refund was given for the inconvenience. i am very annoyed..especially since i was charged even more for the upgrade of the building as i am not even in rexburg anymore. read more

this is the first time i have ever written a yelp review or had anything like this happen to me i got a pass to workout for a short time because i am visiting rexburg from out of town for a little while. after my workout i left the gym and quickly realized my wallet was missing even though i used it to pay for the pass. i checked everywhere in my car and bag and couldn't find it so i went back in and looked around and found nothing. I have worked at a gym and know things get stolen a lot so i asked the employee working (said his name was zach, strawberry blonde hair) if he could look at any security footage to see if anyone had gone through my bag when i wasn't looking. he said he didn't have access to it so i asked if he could get someone who did. he called his manager and then told me he'd get my information and someone would call me monday, this happened on a saturday. i politely told him that because i am from out of town i needed my wallet and didn't want to give anyone time to spend any money. i asked if he could call his manager back so i could speak with her and possibly have someone who had access to the footage look over it that day. mid conversation with "zach" the phone rang and he held his finger up to me and told me to wait. instead of asking the person on the phone to hold because he was busy with me, he spent 5 min on the phone with them. finally he told me he would not call his manager back and said he couldn't do anything else. looking up security footage isn't that much of a hassle so i asked him if i could please speak with a manager which he again denied even though he had just called her. he told me to get out and even tossed a piece of candy at me to "help me feel better" he also said that i was "butt hurt" and acted like a child, the most unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful employee i have ever encountered ANYWHERE. i called the idaho falls location and spoke to victor ramos who was very helpful and said he would contact management and IT to get it looked at right away. he also told me the rexburg location was notorious for having bad employees. BRIAN BALL needs to check the staff and not hire childish unprofessional kids who aren't willing to lift a finger while on the job. worst experience i have ever had at any business. read more

I'd been a Twilight member for a year. Then, when my husband and I got married, he joined with me but could only join if he became a Platinum member. The worker told us there was no contract with the Platinum account, so we decided to go that route because we move away for a few months out of the year for work. Now, we are attempting to cancel our memberships, but they're telling us that they don't have proof that we don't have a contract. Also, to cancel your membership you have to send the billing company a hand-written letter with your information and reason for cancelling. If you try to call the billing company, they will not answer. It takes a month for your membership to get cancelled if you are even successful. I would not recommend joining this gym. Other gyms may be more expensive, but at least they don't tell you your membership doesn't have a contract when it actually does and have a cancellation process from the 1900s. They're attempting to charge us $60 each to cancel our memberships even though we were told we had no contract, and their cancellation process is just a ploy to keep people from cancelling.
