I tried their class while I was in Colorado this summer and I'm so glad I did. I was there for a week without doing any exercises and my body really needed some activation. I asked my friend who used to live there and took her 1st recommendation. It's located in a small office building and the manager who taught us a class had so much bright spirit and I felt so comfortable to be in a class even it was my first time there. They are membership but you can take a trial class and if you like you can start from one month membership like my travel partner did. I am currently in a membership somewhere else so didn't sign up but I may signup when mine expires and try their online classes. I'd highly recommend to try their class when you're in this area! read more

Toshi is an amazing teacher. You will get great exercise for your body and calming for your mind. The yoga is just the right level of exertion without being too hard or too easy. The class focuses on bringing the body and the brain into alignment. Everyone is super friendly and there are no attitudes or egos which is refreshing. read more

I have practiced yoga for 18 years. This is NOT yoga. The people were nice enough (in fact, perhaps bordering on *too* nice) and the studio is pretty, but the practice itself was light stretching and something that involved shaking your head to cacophonous music and then what I imagine is more like Tai Chi than anything else. Afterwards, you have tea, which, Celiacs beware, I'm sure had wheat in it. Spend 20 minutes Googling Dahn Yoga and spare yourself the awkward 90 minutes my friend and I spent. read more

I have been attending Body & Brain Since December 2021. I signed up and attend the online classes. The great thing about Body & Brain is you have choices: Attend In Person or attend online. With support from other locations, you can comfortably like I have, attend online via Zoom in the comfort of your own home. The sound and video quality has always been good for me and the instructors has always made sure they cater for both in person and remote participants. Master Christine has led me on my journey and even though Yoga is foreign to me, she has guided me with ease on my journey to my betterment. To give an simple example how this has helped me, I broke my ankle 7 years ago, and my leg and ankle have never been 100%. Pretty Unimpressed with this operation. I have done yoga for years and wanted to try Tai Chi when I ran into these folks at a health fair. I was skeptical from the start but decided to take a few classes and signed up for the Finding True Self workshop. I felt from the start this was not for me, but foolishly had already paid for the workshop so stuck it out hoping that I would get something out of it. The classes are not like any yoga I have every practiced (and have only a few similarities to Tai Chi from what I can tell) and seem to be best suited for those with injuries and the elderly. It was not a workout by any means. They did not ever like what I was wearing and you are required to wear socks on the padded slippery floor with no traction. They are always trying to sell you an outfit or a book and have these ridiculous magic healing wands that you are supposed to tap all over your body. They kept telling me I had all this childhood trauma and I just wasn't opening myself up enough. I explained I had a good relationship with my parents but they kept implying I didn't feel any love from my parents and had all these issues to work through. The Finding True Self was a total waste of time and money. First, they tell you its a two day class but they wanted me to come in for preparation for several days before and then at the beginning of the class you have to promise to come for several days after. I also had to promise not to tell anyone about what happens in the class. First its a lot of chanting, dancing, clapping and cheering. They match you up with partners and try to get you to have an emotional breakthrough. I was struck by the horrible tragedies experienced by almost everyone else in the class. Most had lost parents at a young age, lost a spouse, parent or child in a violent accident, or had suffered some sort of violence or abuse. More than one person was convinced their personal trauma had caused problems with their gut bacteria that was going to be fixed through meditation and workshops. A couple people were on permanent disability for their illnesses so I have no idea how they were paying for this. The class included some very strange techniques that involved holding poses for long periods of time and being shouted at over and over by the "masters," and chanting "what do I want?" until you had a mental revelation of what you wanted out of life. You couldn't stop until you got the answer so finally I just made something up. Another exercise involved everyone shouting the most horrible insults they could think of at eachother for 30 minutes. By the end of the two day class everyone was sobbing and having an emotional meltdown and promising to sign up for more classes, seminars and workshops. I felt nothing except annoyed, and was told I needed to take more classes to get more out of the program. It felt like they were trying to indoctrinate me into a cult. I left that day and never went back even though they called me for several weeks afterwards. If you are looking for exercise, yoga or thai chi without the mind-control there are many many less expensive places to do this. read more

I have been a Dahn Yoga member at the Westminster Center for a little over a year. Up until a few months ago, I was relatively satisfied with my membership although they really push you to take extra workshops which are hundreds of dollars. Sorry, but I joined to take classes and I shouldn't have to fork over that kind of money to do "extra". Recently, the management has changed and the quality of the instruction has eroded to the point where I leave class early, frustrated that the instruction is sub-par. I could do better being at home watching the Yoga in a Chair Lady or following a DVD. I have spoken with the manager, James nim, numerous times about the quality of the classes, and am nearing the end of my rope. Our previous manager, Amy nim, taught classes every day and was an excellent, skilled instructor. Our current manager is also skilled but he always has lots of reasons he cannot teach. Why was our previous manager able to teach but he is not? The number of people who attend class has decreased dramatically- from about 12-15 a class to now maybe 5-7. That should be a warning in and of itself but James nim seems more invested in selling his private $100 per hour individualized healing sessions than he is ensuring that the current members who come to attend class are getting what they need. I hope my next review will be more positive but right now, my reluctant advice and warning is DO NOT JOIN THE WESTMINSTER DAHN YOGA CENTER. read more

This yoga is certainly different from the traditional Indian yoga which is so much better I think. It originated in Korea. The focus on connecting with inner self is awesome! I have been going for over 2 years & I feel it's balanced my body, mind, & spirit in many ways. I have brought several guests who absolutely love it. Surprised to read any bad reviews on here. I felt conned by this organization. The master met me at a low point in my life and took advantage of my weakness. She convinced me to spend over $3,000 in memberships and personal coaching sessions, which she used to try to guilt me into spending $1,500 more on a meditation retreat. She told me I wouldn't get better if I didn't go on this expensive trip. When I confronted her about the many times she pressured me to spend money, she denied it and placed the blame on me. I believe this organization preys on the weak. read more
