I can't even say enough about how much I Love this business. I originally came in to try the much talked about anti-aging skin tightening system they have called the Venus freeze. I had used this at other laser centres for ridiculous prices and was very pleased to hear the rates they charge not only for this but for other services they offer. My Venus treatment was fantastic I noticed my jaw line was more defined and the skin was tighter after about two weeks since it takes time for the collagen to reproduce and see optimum results. Since I has such amazing experiences at body bar for my venus treatments I decided right before a holiday to try Brazilian and underarms laser hair removal. From start to finish the technician was fantastic she made me feel very comfortable the entire process. I would highly recommend the numbing cream prior to your laser session though if you have a low pain tolerance it makes it alot better, Ask them when you book as you need to go early for it to take effect. The entire facility is stare of the art with the newest and best laser technology, each room has its own design and all look different. the waiting area is beautiful and extremely clean. The customer service level at this business is outstanding, the owner is extremely knowledgable and friendly as well as all other staff members. I LOVE this place! I have been several times for Facials with Gillian. She is very talented and hilarious! I simply keep coming back for more. I have had the Elle's night out for $99 (great value!) and the Bright Now Facial for $169 (unbelievable results!) For a basic facial, the Elle's night out is perfect. It covers all your bases and you leave feeling great... super clean, fresh skin. The Bright Now Facial definitely gives you more bang for your buck and is worth the extra $$. Gillian is gentle yet no nonsense and really knows her stuff. She is so knowledgeable in laser therapies and skin care and was able to give me great recommendations for at home care to keep up the results of my treatment. I don't have huge pigmentation issues, just slight surface discoloration from blemishes here and there but the LED therapy had amazing results for fading them. They are all but invisible now. Laser lightening is a game changer!!! my skin has an amazing healthy glow. The rest of the staff are also really friendly and welcoming. The spa is lovely! It is a clean and comfortable setting. I have also been several times for laser treatments with Roya. She is an amazing woman with such warm and great energy. Also highly talented and knowledgeable. Just had to write an update about this place that I am surprised doesn't have more recognition than it does. The last three times that I have left this place I my stomach hurts from laughing so hard. The lady that has been doing my laser is hilarious, she is bit older but really makes you feel comfortable. I was feeling a bit panicky when I came in at first to get my brazillian done, and by my third treatment I could care less. They got this machine that sprays this cold wet air out (hard to explain but its freezing) and at the same time you get a blast from the laser. For a moment you think, ah its cold...no its hot. Crap I am confused and more importantly you really don't feel any pain. Two of my girlfriends are just starting their treatments at this place and so far so good. Will update my review as I go, with three treatments I think about 40 percent of my hairs seem to be gone. The lady explained we have to wait and see if some grow back or not, as some can be stunted. Will give a progress report when I am done my series. The place is worth checking out, and if you see the older lady and talk to her (her laugh makes you laugh). read more

I have been receiving laser hair removal from Body Bar and after 5 treatments I am super happy with the results! I am quite hairy and it has always been an insecurity. I can't even explain the freedom I feel now and the confidence I have, especially wearing a bikini, no more razor burn or bumps. I am not sure if it is my imagination but my skin even feels a lot smoother!!!! Traveling to the tropics has a new meaning for me now:)) The technician was super nice and made me feel comfortable. Some areas were pretty intimate and I was nervous. After about 5 minutes, we were talking like it was over coffee. I did a lot or research over this, it is an investment. I live downtown Vancouver and it was actually cheaper for me to go there than have it done in the city. I love the decor of the clinic, it does not have a clinical feel, more a clean spa like atmosphere. I actually asked the girls who their decorator was, I would love for my home to look like this:) Anyway, kudos. I'm absolutely blown away with this place. Usually, from my experience, these types of clinics are overly stuffy and unfriendly. The blonde lady (the owner I think) at the counter was very welcoming and informative...she even suggested a more effective (and a lot cheaper) treatment! I've had full body laser hair removal (Janice was incredible! She made me feel so comfortable.- I'm sure you can all appreciate the awkwardness one might feel getting certain 'area's' lasered.....). - I've also had the Venus Freeze done on my stomach by Kelsey, who was such a gem! The Clinic itself is immaculate and very well designed - bright and modern. I'm on my last round of laser hair removal and I'm interested in getting some more body contouring and moles removed in the future. I did not see many reviews from guys on Yelp so that to put one out there. I love this place. I've had several treatments with Roya and she is the best. Her passion and energy makes the experience very comfortable and rewarding. I have had laser hair removal done at 2 other places before and this one by far the best far me. With Roya I feel that I am in professional hands, I am at ease and most important the results are just superb. The place itself is very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms spacious and lighted perfectly to give a sort of discrete and comfortable setting. Administrative wise I have had no issues. I get reminded of my appointments, if i need to reschedule it's not a problem, things are always organized. Appreciate all you do BodyBar - would recommend this you to anyone for sure. I had my first laser hair removal session with Roya at the Body Bar. I was initially a bit nervous about getting this done, but right from my consultation and throughout my first session, Roya put me at ease. She's a wonderful person, very easy to chat with and she was very patient explaining everything and answering all of my questions. As a technician, she's very experienced and made it a very pleasant experience for me! She really took her time, was very conscientious to check in with me throughout the procedure to make sure I was doing alright, cooled all the areas she treated quickly, and by the time I left, my skin wasn't even red! I have been in the Spa industry for over 20 years. I was looking for a Laser clinic that did spider vein removal and IPL treatments, with new up to date machines. I made an appointment with Jaime for my daughter to get a spider vein removed on her nose. I had a lot of questions for Jaime who was so knowledgeable, informative, patient and very sweet.
