Out of the list I researched of possible doctors meeting the requirements I was looking for, I serendipitously picked Dr. Harris merely because she was closest to where we moved to. Boy, were The Fates in my corner that day! She turned out to be The BEST! Her specialty is listed as Family Medicine, but the scope of her medical knowledge, expertise and caring go far beyond those two simple words. A Family Physician practices Family Medicine, which is a medical specialty that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages, sexes, diseases, and parts of the body. That requires an enormous amount of knowledge and she is a brilliant physician and diagnostician, who also has the kindest personality through which she provides compassionate caring for her patients. I consider myself very lucky and fortunate to be one of them! And, I may add, that all of her referrals to specialists for me, and there have been many, have all been in the same stellar category that she calls home. I have found a new PCP but how or if I'll ever be able to get my medical records is in question. If something terrible happened to him (he always seemed to be so real and above board) then I apologize except I would not expect the person I knew to be so vague about opening a new office and appearing to deceive his patients with so little concern for US. I called to make an appointment with a cardiologist and Tasha first told me that the cardiologist did not treat cholesterol issues! . Then she said that they did not take my insurance. When I explained that even if HC was not in my network I could go to any medical facility and my insurance would reimburse me. She switched me to Melissa in the MD's office who was even worse than Tasha. She had major attitude and refused to give me an appointment but gave me the number for the billing dept 954-351-4702 ( in case anyone else needs help) Phyllis in billing confirmed that my insurance was ok and pulled up records of my previous visits. She called the MD's office and they did not answer. I feel sorry for people who are ill and trying to get medical care from this organization.
