Being treated by him for over a year was amazing & was part of my self-care Thursday's. He treated me for migraines, was working on my severe insomnia, bronchitis, & hot flashes due to Menopause. First things first, the hot flashes. Oy! In SoFL, I thought I was dying, it was so bad! Seriously, 6 months of acupuncture coupled with a supplement from him & now, the only time I have hot flashes is when I eat something I'm not supposed to. The day of surgery I went to his Port St. Lucie location and upon arrival they welcomed me with smiles and open arms. Once in the OR, him and his wife worked as a great team making sure I was as comfortable as possible. They even fed me dinner while we were waiting for the numbing medications to kick in and gave me warming booties and mittens because I was so cold in the OR. He walked me through every step of the procedure as the surgery progressed and made sure I was pain free the entire time. It was THE BEST experience I could ever ask for. The day after surgery I had minimal pain (nothing that OTC Tylenol couldn't take care of), minimal bruising, and was up and about walking around. Finally got it scheduled after dealing with his rude surgical coordinator. I went to the outpatient surgical center and put under general anesthesia, discharged and sent home with pain meds prescription. I didn't see the dr at all. No one called me from the office i called the day after to schedule my own follow up/ after post op visit. Dr finally saw me 15 days after just to tell me that he was not able to get my procedure done but yes claims were sent to my insurance and with incorrect dates. A month after I got my period worse than before and his office manager only gave me a sooner appt went I asked her if I should go to the ER as my bleeding was so bad and they didn't have any time for the dr to see me. Dr McCormick saw me the day after just to apologize and finally explained why the procedure failed but didn't explained the wrong dates reported putting that responsibility on the billing department. I requested my records since that day which I didn't receive anything yet. In conclusion I was offered a procedure that not only didn't work for me but it was offered without taking in consideration if I was a candidate for it and the reason I was given about the failure should been taking in consideration before.

My husband has a very complex medical history, and Dr. Fernandez has managed him excellently and kept him in good health, despite all his medical problems. Because of all of this, his waiting room is usually full and we may have to wait a while to see him, but in our opinion, it is worth the wait.
