Overall, the guys did a good job and worked long hours to complete the work before our move in day. We were especially impressed with the work done in the basement and most of the garage: the epoxy floor, new door and shelving system. We had also paid for a touch-up and repainting of the garage walls and ceiling. We were not looking for a 'living room' finish here, but at $2000, we expected a professional job. Unfortunately, this is where the guys fell short, as there were unpainted portions (in a corner after they moved a cabinet they installed, and a board holding the garage door opener after they changed it) and instead of replacing the tape in the corners, they just painted over the old tape, resulting in wrinkled and peeling tape - not the professional job we were expecting. We immediately brought up our concerns to the owner - Andy Millette - and at the time he was very cooperative and said he would 'make it right' in the Spring when the nicer weather was here. Unfortunately, after much correspondence back and forth, it is now 10 months later and he has still not made it right. We made the mistake of paying him in full and now it is clear that he does not intend to keep his word and we will likely never see him again. Too bad - that little extra effort would have earned his company a glowing review. Bottom line: the Ottawa Garage Makeover guys do good work, but we would strongly recommend that you do not pay them in full until you are completely happy with the job as, based on our experience, they will not be back.
